    Mourinho fury as Real lose Madrid derby while Kane breaks more records

    It’s the last Euro pod before the international break and it’s been a bumper weekend of action on the Continent. Pol Ballus joins Jimbo, James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Tom Williams as Jose Mourinho loses a league game against Atletico Madrid for the first time ever. The Real boss left fuming after Dean Huijsen was sent off early in the second half. Their defeat leaves free-scoring Barcelona six points clear, after they beat Sevilla 3-1 thanks to another Raphinha hattrick. Meanwhile, Harry Kane has become the fastest player ever to score 100 Bundesliga goals as Bayern Munich thrash Union Berlin 7-0. Kane’s record comes after just 98 games. Dortmund are top of the pile though after a 1-0 win at Stuttgart continues their 100% start.  In Italy, it’s honours even between the top two as Inter come back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Roma. Lazio are level on points with both of them now after a 2-0 win over Venezia.     Brighton batter Arsenal while Spurs go bottom of the table

    The Premier League signs off for three weeks with an epic Matchday 5. Jimbo, Daniel Storey, Matt Davies-Adams and Colin Millar are in the studio reacting to all the drama. Champions Arsenal get demolished 3-0 by Brighton at the Amex. The Seagulls are the top scorers in the division. We try and explain how Hurzeler’s side do it. Their North London neighbours Tottenham finally found the back off the net. But only after they went 3-0 down at home to Villa. Is another relegation battle on the horizon for Spurs? Xabi Alonso’s Chelsea are also taken apart 3-0 by Brentford on Friday night. But Andoni Iraola remains unbeaten as Liverpool manager after a 1-0 victory at his old club Bournemouth. Fulham almost claim their first win under Alvaro Arbeloa before a late equaliser from Matheus Cunha for Manchester United.     Jimbo is joined by Duncan Alexander, Michael Cox and special guest Simon Kuper to celebrate Frank Rijkaard. Technically gifted, Rijkaard could play anywhere on the pitch and was the gel in two of the greatest ever club sides at Milan and Ajax, winning 7 league titles and 3 Champions Leagues. He helped the Netherlands to win Euro 88 alongside Van Basten and Gullit, but despite being a quiet understated man, is ironically best known for spitting in Rudi Voller's mullet at Italia 90.     Yamal stars for Barca + who’s going to win the Europa League?

    Jimbo is joined by James Horncastle, Tom Williams, Pol Ballus and Seb Stafford-Bloor after another busy weekend of football on the Continent. There’s late disaster in Serie A for Juventus as their own loanee Vasilije Adžić scores a stoppage time winner against them for Sassuolo.  But the good news for the Old Lady is that they’re joint favourites to win the Europa League this season, along with AC Milan who are still unbeaten under Ruben Amorim. Will it be an Italian side who lifts the trophy, or might we see Bournemouth, Sunderland or Crystal Palace upsetting the odds? Lamine Yamal keeps scoring for Barcelona, who’re averaging more than four goals a game at the top of La Liga: three points above Real Madrid who are back to winning ways under Jose Mourinho. Elsewhere in Germany, Freiburg are top of the Bundesliga, despite Bayern beating new boys Elversberg on Sunday.     Ten-man City win Manchester derby after controversial Haaland goal

    It’s a big win for Enzo Maresca and for Man City’s title credentials as they come away from Old Trafford with all three points. Jimbo, Tom Williams, Colin Millar and Stuart James review a dramatic Matchday 4 in the Premier League. Champions Arsenal come through a stern test at Sunderland but make it 4 wins out of 4 this season with Bruno Guimaraes scoring a fabulous first Gunners goal. Hull City preserve their unbeaten start to this season with a stellar display at Chelsea, drawing 2-2. Ipswich are also victorious at Crystal Palace but it’s not going so well for the other promoted side Coventry. No goals and no points after a 5-0 drubbing at home to Brighton.     Arsenal and Liverpool win in Europe as the Manchester derby awaits

    More big wins for the big guns in the Champions League on Wednesday. Jimbo, Duncan Alexander, Daniel Storey and Adrian Clarke to reflect on the action and preview a big Premier League weekend.
