This podcast is one of my most satisfying finds & I wager that you’ll feel the same after a couple of episodes 😊
If you’re tired of searching for a decent podcast by belly flopping into the tsunami of big budget, overproduced, over acted, ultimately underwhelming fiction, this here is the podcast for you.
The narration, on the episodes I’ve enjoyed to date, ranges from passable to outstanding. Technically, the episodes have been produced, to my ear, at an above average level. I appreciate the good editing, especially the clear audio with no background noises.
Overall, this is an impressive little show put out by people who are, obviously, very talented. The part that makes this show stand out, for me at least, is having just the right amount of rough edges. The charm and affability those minor rough edges bring to the show really take it up to a higher level, oddly.
Charm & affability are the furthest things away from most of the stories that I’ve played so far however 😊
“Mothers Milk” is a particularly good episode in my opinion, and a good one to try on for size to see if this show fits you. Give it a try tonight, for real- just play it and you’ll see what I’m trying to convey with all of those words I subjected you to.
If shows “like ”Knifepoint Horror,” Tales to Terrify,” ”The No Sleep” podcast & any number of similar shows are what yo consider swell and/or nifty, well then STOP treading water, spinning helplessly in the cold, dark, screaming waters of the ancient eldritch horror known as the search tsunami, gasping for air as your nostrils fill with liquid before you could get a full breath.
Precious seconds tick away as you automatically, robotically, open yet another streaming platform on your omnipresent device. The app opens with cheerful music you hum along with & you’re instantly overwhelmed by agonising cramps in your scrolling thumb as you scroll, mindlessly, endlessly, unprompted, another app opens, you scroll reflexively.
Yet, nothing is on and the search continues.
The tsunami has started to flow back to the depths it was shaken from, as the water rushes back bringing with it the ruin of a city, you hear the voices. The exact same voices you thought you’d been rid of for good are now mingled in the deafening currents, and they bring terrible news.
You have been chosen know you must do his bidding. You prepare quickly.
But still,
Nothing is on.
another app opens with a cheerful tune.
You whistle along as white hot, fearful tears treble your vision and
You still scroll.
Nothing is on.
You start towards the door.
Anyhooo-
It’s a good podcast, give it a shot.
