Filmmakers Adam Green (FROZEN, the HATCHET franchise), Joe Lynch (MAYHEM, EVERLY), and Arwen the Yorkie host this inspirational and educational program that offers a fully comprehensive look at the entertainment industry, the artistic process, and the enduring struggle of not giving up on your dreams. By candidly sharing their own trials and tribulations in Hollywood, Adam and Joe create an extremely honest and heartfelt dialogue with their guests. The hilarious, heartbreaking, and therapeutic “artist on artist” conversations focus on each guest’s individual journey and the various hurdles they have personally faced and conquered along the way. With guests ranging from Academy Award winners, entertainment icons, and A-list celebrities... to cinematographers, editors, studio executives, and countless other crucial positions not typically featured in the spotlight, an average episode of THE MOVIE CRYPT offers more insight for navigating the entertainment industry than an entire semester of film school. Hailed by Entertainment Weekly magazine as “one of the top 20 podcasts you should be listening to” [Issue #1345], a new episode of THE MOVIE CRYPT has been released every single Monday without fail since the day the podcast launched on May 6, 2013. Ep 423: Devon Sawa
PUBLIC VERSION. Actor Devon Sawa (FINAL DESTINATION, IDLE HANDS, HUNTER HUNTER) joined Adam, Joe, and Arwen for a full interview in the final hours of last Christmas’ YORKIETHON 5. Since we’re now over halfway to YORKIETHON 6 (July is usually when we start putting together each year’s 48-hour marathon charity event) we figured now is the perfect time to make this terrific conversation available as its very own episode for the first time. The last half-hour has all of the best stuff, Patrons! Like why Devon walked away from Hollywood for a period of time and what happens when you’re improvising a fight scene with Stallone and you decide to try and throw a head kick Sly’s way! This conversation was truly a highlight of our YORKIETHON 5 interviews - even on hour 43 of our 2-day sleepless live marathon - and you’re going to love Devon Sawa even more than you likely already do!
Ep 422: Clark Collis
PUBLIC VERSION. Writer Clark Collis (Entertainment Weekly Magazine, YOU’VE GOT RED ON YOU: HOW SHAUN OF THE DEAD WAS BROUGHT TO LIFE) joins Adam, Joe, and Arwen to discuss his career journey. Dr. Arwen provides “Hollywood Therapy” for a first time feature filmmaker trying to cover all of his bases and Clark tells the boys a secret about SHAUN OF THE DEAD that makes their eyes red in this incredibly lively conversation.

Dr. Arwen provides “Hollywood Therapy” for two writers with their creative hearts set on IPs that they don’t control the rights to and Joe declares his love of low-fi quality cinema with a new “Unpopular Opinion” in this terrific conversation that proves yet again just how different every artists path can be!
Ep 420: Matt Mercer
PUBLIC VERSION. Actor and filmmaker Matt Mercer (BLISS, CONTRACTED, DEMENTIA: PART II) joins Adam, Joe, and Arwen to discuss his career journey. From feeling like an outcast being in film school and wanting to make genre films… to making the move from NYC to LA and building his “film family”… to the importance of continuing to make short films around the bigger feature film projects… to the absolutely extraordinary process of co-directing, writing, producing, editing, and starring in DEMENTIA: PART II (out now!)… Matt’s story will absolutely inspire you to find a way! Dr. Arwen provides “Hollywood Therapy” for a new writer getting ready to take the plunge into their first script and the boys discuss the pros and cons to successfully pulling off an extremely low budget project in this super candid conversation!
Best podcast on the net
Adam and Joe keep knocking it out of the park with great guests, insight into the process and business and tons of perks for fans. If this show ever stops I’ll need more than just Hollywood Therapy with Dr. Arwen
The podcast is really good. But forcing your audience to pay to hear the rest of the interview is crap. Fix that guys
Would be a great podcast if it didn’t have hosts.
Has plenty of guests I’d like to hear from, but between Joe asking rambling questions that take 8 minutes to get to a point and Adam re-telling some story about Hatchet for the 200th time I think the guest gets to speak about 20 minutes of an episode.
