Just Thinking Podcast

First, very clear and and the gospel was presented. Thank you so much for reminder that we all have sinful/hateful tendencies and we need to acknowledge those and repent of them. Second, thanks for explaining how a grand jury operates. Third, just a word of encouragement (this is the reason for the 3 stars, not that my judgement matters): Continue, to strive to keep a TONE that seeks to engage people of opposing views and PERSUADE them. Although this isn’t an indictment of pride, when you say “This is for my haters”, you are never going to get people who don’t completely agree with you to listen to because such verbiage just sounds arrogant. Now I’m not indicting you (I think it was Darrel) of prideful language there (I can’t see your heart) but listeners who don’t agree with you won’t even give you an ear when you start to say things like that, especially given the nature of the topic. I need this reminder the most, brothers, because I have strong convictions and like to debate. Jesus cares about what we say and he is EQUALLY CONCERNED AS TO HOW WE SAY IT. Sorry to be so long-winded on this last point. You may think I’m one of the haters 😂. To the contrary, I really enjoyed the podcast as a first time listener. I just would love to suggest others to listen you both and don’t want them to be turned off by a harsh tone. You guys were spot on in this podcast all the way but there were just times that I thought that the tone was a bit strong. In my short years of life (I am a millennial), people easily pick up whether not you truly care about them and are genuinely concerned for them or whether not you want to win an argument. Again, you guys displayed through your actions that you cared (the presentation of the gospel, the prayer for the families, the condolence expression, etc.), but there were just a few times that the angry-sounding rants and the “this is for my haters” verbiage clouded the content. We should all want people to shut us off because of our stand for the truth, not the tone of our speech. Again, great work. Thoroughly biblical and the gospel was shared. Blessing mates!

I enjoyed appreciated your entire episode except for the last 10 minutes when you went off the rails and let me explain to you how. the problem that you have is critical gender theory takes place and women no longer want to follow their husband and submit to their husband so when a woman sits there and says that a husband has been harsh, she’s lying, she just had her sin called out. Most of the time woman do this s she can get her own way because she doesn’t want to be submitted to her husband (genesis 3)or to the Lord a woman who ishe was saying that her husband is being harsh shouldn’t be going to the Pastor, she should be going to her husband and talking to him privately if after time and time again that doesn’t happen, she should be going to the women of the church. The elder women you had nailed this earlier that Titus two is absolutely being ignored in the church today, but I still love you, brothers,you have a great day.

These are long format podcasts but you don’t have to listen all at once. They are so well researched. I listen and take notes. Love these Christian brothers!

This is my favorite podcast! Even though it is a long one, it is so edifying in my Christian walk. Darrell and Virgil provide such deep insight. It is a blessing to listen to!
