I liked this podcast some years ago, but it has gotten harder to listen to. When you have some truly great guests like Colman Domingo and he is interrupted because the co-host wants to chime in that she wants an expensive bag because she does…what are you even doing? Too much of that has made it so hard to listen to. Cringe. I have appreciated Dax’s genuine interest in his guests and their work, but when you think you are somehow enlightened because you play devil’s advocate, e.g. the awful way JvN was treated, just no. So obtuse.

I used to enjoy listening to this show. Sad you decided to prop up a genocide enabler and propogandist. I’m out.

I use to listen in spite of Monica. I was a day 1 listener, in fact, this pod helped me get through stage 4 cancer. Then Monica starting speaking more and more, and it got worse and worse. The yasssss and yeahhhh add nothing. Then I will be enjoying a conversation Dax has going with a guest, only for Monica to interrupt and say something dumb. Dax doesn’t need someone to keep him in check, he’s inquisitive, endearing, well spoken. Monica needs someone to tell her to be quiet. I almost question Dax’s judgement for evening having this chick on. Such a shame that Dax brings so much to the table just to have an entitled idiot who thinks too much of herself ruin it. I finally stopped listening. When someone I enjoy is on, I’ve tried to jump back in, but Monica is so cringe, it’s just not worth it.
