    Friday the 13th VI: Jason Lives (1986): Amex Not Accepted

    Friday the 13th VI: Jason Lives is a 1986 American slasher film written and directed by Tom McLoughlin, and starring Thom Mathews, Jennifer Cooke, David Kagen, and C.J. Graham.  It was the final film to feature Tommy Jarvis as the protagonist and marked Tony Goldwyn's film debut. Continuing from the events of the previous film, the plot follows Tommy after he accidentally resurrects mass murderer Jason Voorhees while attempting to destroy his body to ensure that he will not return. While Jason returns to Crystal Lake for another killing spree, Tommy must overcome his fear of the masked killer that has haunted him for years and find a way to stop him once and for all. The film’s score was again composed by Henry Manfedini.     10 Cloverfield Lane is a 2016 American science fiction horror thriller film directed by Dan Trachtenberg in his directorial debut, produced by J. J. Abrams and Lindsey Weber and written by Josh Campbell, Matthew Stuecken, and Damien Chazelle.  It stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, and John Gallagher Jr. The story follows a young woman who, after a car crash, wakes up in an underground bunker with two men who insist that an event has left the surface of Earth uninhabitable.     Cloverfield is a 2008 American found footage science fiction horror film directed by Matt Reeves and written by Drew Goddard and produced by JJ Abrams. It stars Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, T.J. Miller, Michael Stahl-David, Mike Vogel, and Odette Yustman. In the film, six friends attempt to flee from a monster that attacks New York City. The film’s overture (that plays over the end credits), entitled Roar!, was composed by oft-JJ collaborator Michael Giacchino.     The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003): The Empire Strikes Back (at itself)

    The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is a 2003 steampunk superhero flick that pulls characters from the first volume of Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's comic series - though honestly, the plot goes off in its own direction and barely resembles the source material. Stephen Norrington (of Blade fame) directed it from a screenplay by comic book and sometime-screenplay writer James Dale Robinson, and the cast includes Sean Connery, Peta Wilson, Naseeruddin Shah, Tony Curran, Stuart Townsend, Shane West, Jason Flemyng, and Richard Roxburgh. It's notable for being Connery's last role in a theatrically released live-action movie before he retired in 2006 (he passed away in 2020). Trevor Jones handled the score.     V for Vendetta (2005): Mask 4 Mask

    V For Vendetta is a 2005 dystopian thriller film directed by James McTeigue from a screenplay by the Wachowskis. It was McTeigue's directorial debut and is based on the 1988–89 DC Vertigo Comics limited series graphic novel V for Vendetta by Alan Moore, David Lloyd, and Tony Weare. The cast includes Natalie Portman, Hugo Weaving, Stephen Rea and John Hurt. The film, which is set in a future where a fascist totalitarian regime has subjugated the United Kingdom, centres on V, a masked vigilante who attempts to ignite a revolution, and Evey Hammond, a young woman caught up in V's plot. The film’s score was composed by Dario Marianelli.
