Premier matchweek 7 recap “The definition of Vitality”

Week 7 was not a Derby weekend, but it was a rivalry weekend, and the Premier League gave us two entertaining ones for different reasons. We’re recapping it all over smoky mezcal margaritas. Brighton 5, Palace 0: Three goals in the first ten minutes at the Gatwicko. One good decision and two bad ones for Benitez, and Palace changes every week. The Seagulls are at 23 goals with 11 different scorers. Leeds 1, Man U 1: Chippy, physical, loud, and wild. Mbeumo and DCL are starting to find their boots. Man U sits on 7 points from 7 matches, out of the cup and beaten in the Champions League. Three sides finally got wins, which means everyone in the league has now won a match. Fulham got there with the old guard doing the work, and we ask whether this is where Hull starts to slip. Bournemouth wasn’t pretty, but the Cherries are on the board, and Sunderland saw red, so we wonder if the workload is too much. Spurs scored as many goals in one match as they had all season, with Madison and Marmoush on the sheet, and they’re out of the drop.   Then the rest, in our “oh, so that happened” segment.   Week 7 Results Brighton 5, Crystal Palace 0 Leeds 1, Manchester United 1 Fulham 1, Hull City 0 Bournemouth 2, Sunderland 0 Tottenham 3, Coventry 1 Chelsea 2, Everton 0 Liverpool 2, Brentford 1 Manchester City 3, Ipswich 2 Aston Villa 1, Newcastle 0 Arsenal 1, Nottingham Forest 0   🌐 www.Dufootballshow.com 🎧 patreon.com/dufootballshow 🛒 www.DUdripshack.com 📧 DUFootballshow@gmail.com 📱 @DUfootballshow on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube

Premier League matchweek 4 recap “The Rebranding is Ridiculous”

Arsenal held off a scrappy Sunderland side, 2-0. David Raya's penalty save on Le Fée kept it level before Bruno G broke through two minutes later. Manchester City won 1-0 at Old Trafford despite playing over an hour with ten men, a result that says as much about United's toothlessness as it does about City's resilience. Among the newly promoted clubs, Brighton put five past Coventry as the Sky Blues' struggles deepen, Ipswich edged Palace 3-2 on the road despite a second half red card, and Hull held Chelsea to a 2-2 draw built on two costly Chelsea mistakes. Three very different trajectories for three new arrivals. Elsewhere, Forest beat Villa 2-1 behind a new signing's impact, Liverpool and Fulham played out a strange goalless draw built on defensive errors, Bournemouth and Brentford shared a wild 2-2, Everton and Spurs cancelled each other out at 0-0, and Leeds thumped Newcastle 4-1 in a manic 17-minute spell either side of half time. Away from the pitch, Sam Huston came into this one fired up, and it led to a heated back and forth with Sam Graham. The Sams break it all down this week on the DU Football Show.
