Episode #1139 - Making Room For Growth

Can you carry something that takes time? What happens when the work the Father has begun remains unfinished, progress seems slower than expected, or the people you are walking alongside are not yet where you thought they would be? In this episode of Tent Talk, Nancy McCready explores the patience of Christ and the long-range work of the Father. Drawing from James 5, Mark 4, and Philippians 1, Nancy reminds us that growth cannot always be hurried. Just as a farmer cultivates the field without controlling the rain or the harvest, maturing sons must learn to remain faithful to their responsibilities while allowing the Father to govern the process and timing of development. But patience is not passivity. Nancy challenges us to recognize the difference between honoring genuine growth and excusing procrastination, irresponsibility, or an unwillingness to obey what the Father has already made clear. True maturity requires discernment, responsiveness, and the ability to give dignity to every stage of development without losing sight of what is required today. As the Father prepares sons to strengthen others and participate in works that extend beyond one person, place, or generation, He is developing the capacity to remain engaged, honor what He has begun, and faithfully carry what He has entrusted to us. This episode is a call to grow up, make room for His work, and continue moving with Him through every stage of the journey. Thanks for Listening! Episode #1138 - Here We Go! Podcast Shorts with Nancy

Recording from downtown Omaha, Nebraska, Nancy McCready continues the conversation on the distinction between a faithful herald and a polished orator, turning our attention to one of the greatest hindrances to obedience: self-consciousness. When the Father entrusts something to us, how quickly can the questions arise? How will I sound? What will people think? What if I am rejected, misunderstood, or lose someone's approval? Nancy reveals how self-consciousness is rooted in the independent self-life, causing us to hide behind impressive language, endless preparation, imagined conversations, and the need to control outcomes. What began with Adam and Eve hiding and covering themselves continues wherever self seeks protection rather than yielding to the Father. Drawing from the lives of Jesus and Paul, Nancy reminds us that a herald does not have to feel fearless before speaking faithfully. Our emotions, confidence, eloquence, and the responses of others do not determine whether the Father can speak through us. The Cross must deal with every demand of self so that we can move freely with Him, whether we are speaking publicly, having difficult conversations, apologizing, or simply obeying in everyday life. This episode is a call to move beyond self-consciousness into exclusive allegiance and full dependency upon the Father. As I bring my soul and body under the government of Holy Spirit, I become free to speak what He is saying, release His life, and leave the results to Him. We are not called to impress the world but to faithfully walk with the Father and allow His life to reach others. Thanks for Listening! Episode #1137 - Heralds, Not Performers: Speak What the Father Is Saying

In this episode of Tent Talk, Nancy McCready draws a necessary distinction between being a herald of the Father and a polished orator. The Father is not looking for sons who know how to impress a room, manipulate emotions, or build a reputation through eloquence. He is preparing sons who have listened to Him, been governed by His word, and can faithfully release what He has entrusted to them. Looking at Jesus, Paul, and the words of Oswald Chambers, Nancy challenges us to examine what governs our communication. Are we concerned with how we will be perceived, whether people approve of us, or whether we can hold their attention? Or are we willing to simply say what our Father is saying and leave the results to Him? A herald knows the message does not belong to them, the people do not belong to them, and the authority behind the message does not originate with them. As the Cross deals deeply with self, the need to impress, perform, and manage our reputation begins to lose its hold. The Father is preparing living witnesses—sons whose allegiance is to Him and whose words flow from genuine oneness with Him. We do not need more polished performers. We need sons willing to hear the Father, obey Him, and faithfully proclaim what He has entrusted to them. Thanks for Listening! Archive Episode #1135 - The Mind To Suffer

Listen to this archive episode of Tent Talk as Nancy McCready explores what it means to have the mind to suffer—not suffering as punishment, self-righteousness, or something we manufacture for ourselves, but the willingness to endure whatever comes through following the Father and living as Christ. Drawing from 1 Peter 4:1, Romans 8, and Philippians 2, Nancy examines the mind of Christ as part of our inheritance in Him. As maturing sons, we are learning to see as He sees, think as He thinks, and become increasingly responsive to Holy Spirit. This includes developing the willingness to persevere when obedience brings rejection, hardship, waiting, or suffering. The motivation is not suffering itself—it is fellowship with Him. As the mind of Christ is developed within us, fear, rejection, and the threat of suffering lose their ability to control us. This archive episode is a call to allow Holy Spirit to prepare us for the day and hour in which we live, so that whatever lies ahead, we can continue faithfully with Him. Thanks for Listening! Episode #1134 - Here We Go! Podcast Shorts with Nancy

Recording from Clewiston, Florida, Nancy McCready continues the conversation on the good and handsome warfare with a call for truth to put on its shoes. It is not enough to know our identity in Christ; truth must become the way we walk, behave, communicate, make decisions, handle disappointment, and conduct the ordinary business of our lives. Drawing from Romans 6 and Hebrews 12, Nancy reminds us that sons are not being punished—they are being prepared. The Cross has not left us fighting to suppress an old identity. We have been crucified and raised with Christ so that we might walk in newness of life. Our new life begins in union, not effort. As that reality becomes experiential, Holy Spirit trains us to recognize and refuse the lies, offenses, hidden agreements, and compromises that do not belong to the life we now share with Christ. True warfare is not hype, bravado, or constant fascination with darkness. It is the steady progression of Christ’s life within us until His integrity and character govern our everyday affairs. Every step of obedience becomes warfare as maturing sons learn the Father’s ways, walk forward with Him, and become sharp and skilled instruments of righteousness in His hands. Thanks for Listening! Episode #1133 - Here We Go! Podcast Shorts with Nancy

Recording from the airport lounge in Krakow, Poland, Nancy McCready continues the conversation on the good and handsome warfare as she prepares to return to the United States after a week of Cross Encounter, ministry, and conversations in Rybnik. Looking again at the warfare of Jesus, Nancy emphasizes that the enemy’s goal is separation, while the strength of a maturing son is found in oneness with the Father. Jesus did not allow darkness, accusation, misunderstanding, rejection, or the actions of others to consume His attention. His face remained toward the Father and His eternal intention. Sometimes His warfare was speaking. Sometimes it was silence. But His response always came from fellowship and obedience. As sons mature, warfare becomes less about fascination with darkness and more about faithfully living the life of Christ. We do not have to answer every accusation, prove ourselves right, keep accounts of who appreciated us, or allow another person’s flesh to dictate our lives. Our greatest strategy is to remain joined to the Father, discern His will, and freely live in agreement with Him. This Here We Go episode is a call to grow up, remain faithful to what the Father has entrusted to us, and discover the tremendous authority of a life lived in uninterrupted oneness and obedience to Him. Episode #1132 - Here We Go! Podcast Shorts with Nancy

Recording from Rybnik, Poland, Nancy McCready continues the conversation on the good and handsome warfare by looking at the warfare of Jesus Himself. His warfare was not driven by outward pressure, the need to prove Himself, or a constant display of force. Jesus lived and responded from unwavering dependency upon the Father. Drawing from John 14:30–31 and Jesus’ journey to the Cross, Nancy explores a powerful rule of engagement: the enemy had nothing in Jesus because the Father had all of Him. Satan could tempt Him but could not turn Him. People could accuse, misunderstand, wound, and oppose Him, but they could not draw Him out of His oneness with the Father. Jesus was free to speak when the Father gave Him words and equally free to remain silent when obedience required silence. This Here We Go episode challenges maturing sons to recognize that true warfare is not about winning every argument, defending ourselves, or reacting to every offense. It is about becoming so governed by the Father that neither opposition nor approval can move us from obedience. Jesus shows us the way: full dependency, precise obedience, and a life completely yielded to the Father. Thanks for Listening!
