    Greater Hartford, Stony Kill Scramble and the Final Flex or Who orders Salmon at a Mexican Restaurant? Alex, Corey, Jaimen, Randy, Evan and Joe are back for a jam-packed post-Labor Day edition covering tournament action, local league recaps, and a listener inspired round of trivia. Corey and Jaimen break down their trip to Wickham Park for the 22nd Annual Greater Hartford Open, Alex recaps the 7th Annual Stony Kill Scramble weekend, detailing his singles play and the wild sudden-death playoffs across both singles and doubles. Randy chimes in on his Massachusetts triples excursion at Barre Falls, his MPO round at the Discap Flex Series finale at Hyzer Creek, and teaming up with Adam Nelson as "The Captain and the Killer" for Stony Kill Doubles. Joe also played at the Discap Flex Series finale and tells us about his round and while Evan didn’t play much this past week, he did have a Summer Battle Royale match to recap.     342. Fall Preview

    This Week on The Hudson Valley Disc Golf Podcast: Corey, Alex, Randy, Patrick, and Joe gather for a jam-packed episode covering everything happening on and off the course across the Hudson Valley and beyond. I explained why the podcast release schedule may be moving back to Fridays and asked for listener feedback on upcoming Patreon merch designs and ideas. We did a full preview of the late summer and fall schedule, including the Battenkill Open at CTK, DisCap Flex #6 at Hyzer Creek, the 7th Annual Stony Kill Scramble (plus course layout and park updates), the Syracuse Open, Artemis Unchained VI, Montgomery County Championships, the Rethrow Open at Colonial Acres, and the New York State Championship heading to Long Island among others. Alex and Corey broke down their match at CTK, featuring Alex’s lights-out putting, Corey’s clutch throw-in eagle on Hole 18 to force extra holes, and a sudden-death playoff. Joe recapped his weekend camping out and competing at Maple Hill for the Maple Hill Masters, navigating the Diamond and Blue layouts, torrential rain, and the local food scene. We also looked at J-Dubs, DisCap Pro League at J-Park, and regional dubs leagues across the area, followed by an update on the SkipAce leaderboard after the Preserve Doubles Championship. We probably might have also mentioned the winner.  We also recapped some of the recent Summer Battle Royale matchups, Doubles and weekly League action and where to find the best Rochester garbage plate. We learned about his nomadic life, understanding wife and Disc Golf strife.  We also heard from Terry Hudson who breaks down the Hudson Valley Disc Golf Passport—a brand-new way to gamify local course visits, support disc golf stores, and earn points through volunteer work. He also gave us the scoop on the 2026 Montgomery County Championship at Burbine and Dove Creek. We previewed the many other local events coming in the next couple months including, the Stonykill Scramble(Open for Registration), the ElectriCity Classic(Still Open for Registration until Friday) and the Wilcox Wow(Open for Registration) among others. And we wrap it up with some local league recaps and a round of "Disc or No Disc" in which none of the categories described my feelings after my Summer Battle Royale match. Greg’s running the DisCap Monthly at his course Porcupine Springs this Saturday. It’s a Flex start, so stop by any time between 9AM - 4PM with a group or make one when you get there. The course is on UDisc if you need directions. While we had him, we also got his insight on some of the local goings on like Jeff Wiechowski’s pending induction into the NYS Disc Golf Hall of Fame and Ethan Hadders win at Junior World’s.  Jaimen was here so we caught up on what he was doing the last few weeks, including the Warwick Disc Golf Championships. We also heard about Corey’s trip to Cortland, NY for the Boondock Battle at Greek Peak.  We also previewed some upcoming events, looked back at the Last Week in Disc Golf in the area and finished it up with a round of Disc or No Disc.
