Reducing Friction In Product Development - A Chat With Calico's Kathleen Chan

Product development is obviously a key part of supply chain. In the apparel industry communicating with manufacturers can be challenging, so enter Calico to help reduce that friction.

To find out more about how this young startup Calico raised money from Serena Ventures, and is helping direct to consumer brands in the apparel industry more easily connect to their factories, I invited Calico CEO Kathleen Chan to come on the podcast.

We had a fascinating conversation. I learned loads, I hope you do too...

Setting The Right Pricing Strategy - A Chat With Chris Mele

Setting The Right Pricing Strategy - A Chat With Chris Mele

Setting the correct price on your products sounds like it should be easy, right?

Well, it is not that straightforward at all as I discovered in this episode of the Digital Supply Chain podcast where I talked to Chris Mele, Managing Partner at Software Pricing Partners.

We had a great conversation spanning how to create your pricing strategy, how the shift to SaaS is impacting pricing strategies, and the roles that things like licensing, packaging, and support also play.

Using AI And ML For Inventory Planning - A Chat With Flowlity CEO Jean-Baptiste Clouard

With all the disruptions to supply chains these days, inventory management is very much top-of-mind for supply chain professionals. Too much inventory is wasteful, too little risks stock-outs and missed sales.

Enter Flowlity - a French start-up helping companies better manage inventory planning using AI.

To learn more I invited their co-founder, and CEO Jean-Baptiste Clouard to come on the podcast to tell me all about it.

I learned loads, I hope you do too...

Ensuring Traceability And Sustainability In The Timber Supply Chain With Blockchain - A Chat With IOV42's David Coleman

Ensuring Traceability And Sustainability In The Timber Supply Chain With Blockchain - A Chat With IOV42's David Coleman

Blockchain can get a bit of a bad rep because of the massive carbon footprint Bitcoin has, and more recently because of its huge losses!

Enterprise blockchains though don't suffer either of those problems and so can be very elegant solutions to some quite challenging problems. In this episode of the Digital Supply Chain podcast, I spoke to IOV42's Chief Product Officer David Coleman to hear how their blockchain solution is helping prove the provenance of timber.

We had a great conversation spanning how IOV42's blockchain works in the timber supply chain, how their algorithm uses proof of authority, not proof of stake, and what other domains they intend to target next.

I learned loads, I hope you do too...

AI, ML, And Data - A Chat With Sisu Data's Joel McKelvey

AI, ML, And Data - A Chat With Sisu Data's Joel McKelvey

Our machines and processes are creating increasingly larger volumes of data - how can we handle this, what insights can we glean from it, and what are some lessons learned?

These are some of the questions I put to Sisu Data's Joel McKelvey in this episode of the Digital Supply Chain podcast.

We had a great conversation spanning why AI ML solutions are increasingly necessary for supply chain data insights, Sisu Data's recent Harris Poll showing the implications of a poor supply chain experience, and how best to solve these problems.

I learned loads, I hope you do too...

Super insightful topics

Great way to get started on learning the basics of supply chains! Tom's also great at breaking down complex topics into smaller chunks for better understanding.

Great format!

I am really enjoying the insights from the different perspectives in the field. The 20 minute show length is great as most shows are an hour or more in length per episode, this show cuts out the fluff and gets right to the good stuff.
