The LongHer Life

Brittany Ford

The LongHer Life is the women's longevity podcast that says the quiet part out loud. Science backed and soul led, in the same episode, from the same person. Host Brittany Ford is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and the founder of Biohacking Brittany. Every week she breaks down what's actually working for women's health: peptides, hormone testing, fertility and postpartum, metabolic health, mitochondria, nervous system regulation, longevity protocols, perimenopause, and the soul work underneath all of it. You'll get real protocols with the dosing and the tradeoffs, her own lab results read out loud, honest reviews of what she's testing on herself, and long conversations with the doctors, researchers and founders she actually trusts. No wellness theatre, no supplement she hasn't taken herself. If you want to feel good in your body now and still be strong at 90, you're in the right place. Formerly Biohacking with Brittany. New episode every week.

How to Be Like Yourself Again, and Better: Identity Over Goals, Why Willpower Runs Out, One Decision a Day and Why Nothing Sticks | Part 3/3

Part one was how to look like yourself again. Part two was how to feel like yourself again. Part three is who you actually are, and it's the one that decides whether any of it sticks. I open with something heavy from this week: I can't talk about peptides on Instagram anymore. I had to archive about 20 posts, my TikTok was deleted, and I've been blocked from DMs for three days. So I talk about building on borrowed land, and where I can still speak freely. Then the three women I meet over and over. The one who knows exactly what to do and still hasn't started. The one who changes for a few weeks and then life creeps in. And the one who's waiting to feel ready. I go into why willpower runs out, why it's cyclical and tied to your hormones, and the five days I took completely off this month while my HRV sat in the 80s. Then what actually builds it: deciding who she is out loud instead of setting a goal, one decision a day that she would make, changing the inputs instead of the intentions, and refusing to do it alone. Plus the question I asked a client this week that stopped her cold: what does it cost you to feel like this for another year? This is for education, not medical advice. If you want to do this work with me, The Spark is open, and there are three spots left. One on one, 12 weeks, future self activations plus labs, nutrition, protocols and peptides. How to Feel Like Yourself Again, and Better: Losing Your Spark, Tired but Wired, 3 AM Wake Ups, Cortisol, HRV and the Future Self Activation | Part 2/3

Today is how to FEEL like yourself again, and better, because you can get the body and still not feel like you. I start with the sentence I hear on every call: "I just don't feel like myself." Then the three ways it actually shows up. Feeling flat with no spark, even when life looks good on paper. Tired but wired, snapping over nothing, awake at 3 AM. And numb, living in your head, disconnected from your own body. Then the solutions. Breath and long exhales, heart coherence at about six breaths a minute, and what your HRV and resting heart rate are really telling you. The labs I want you to look at, including a four point cortisol test and blood work through Function Health. And the deepest one, the future self activation I do every morning, plus the alignment questions that decide whether any of it sticks. If you want to do this work with me, The Spark is open. One on one, three months, activations plus labs, nutrition, protocols and peptides. There are 8 spots and application calls are 15 minutes.   I TALK ABOUT: 00:00 Welcome back, and what part 2 is 01:44 What women mean by "I don't feel like myself" 03:08 The Exhale replay, and The Spark 05:00 Feeling flat, with no spark 07:36 What flat looks like on your labs 09:04 Tired but wired, and the snapping 10:05 The cortisol curve and the 3 AM wake up 14:37 Numb and out of your body 19:15 Breath, long exhales and regulating daily 21:38 Heart coherence, and what your HRV is telling you 26:41 Labs, a 4 point cortisol test and Function Health 31:24 The future self activation, and the alignment questions   RESOURCES: The Spark, my one on one program, 8 spots Function Health, about $25 off with my link The LongHer Life Longevity Community Part 1: How to Look Like Yourself Again, and Better The Exhale, my free masterclass replay, up until Sunday night   Part three drops tomorrow: BE like yourself again. How to Look Like Yourself Again, and Better: Protein, Lifting Heavy, DEXA Scans and Muscle Loss on GLP-1s | Part 1/3

I don't want you chasing the woman you were two years ago or before kids. I want you stepping into the woman you're becoming. This is part one of a three part series on how to look like yourself again, and better. We get honest about weight and body composition: why lighter doesn't always mean better, why so many women are trading fat for frailty, and why a GLP-1 plateau usually isn't a dose problem. Across published trials of semaglutide and tirzepatide, lean mass makes up 25 to 39% of the weight lost, and muscle is the tissue that keeps your metabolism going. Then I give you my three practical fixes: eat enough protein (one gram per pound of ideal body weight, front loaded in the morning), lift heavy with progressive overload, and stop measuring the wrong thing. I share how I weigh myself around my cycle, why I recommend a DEXA scan once or twice a year, my weekly training split, and the formula I use with every client: regulate your nervous system, build the foundation, then add peptides. If you want me to build this with you, The Spark, my 12 week one on one program, is open with only eight spots.   I TALK ABOUT: 05:53 A three part series, and where my peptide content lives now 07:40 Why "and better": the future you, not the old you 11:43 Lighter doesn't always mean better 16:28 Trading fat for frailty 17:45 The GLP-1 plateau and muscle loss 21:34 Eating healthy and still losing muscle 24:31 Fix 1: eat enough protein (plus weighing and DEXA scans) 34:53 Fix 2: lift heavy and progressive overload 39:05 Fix 3: stop measuring the wrong thing 40:20 The formula: foundations, nervous system, then peptides 44:24 The Exhale, The Spark and a sign from the universe   RESOURCES: The Spark, my 12 week one on one program. 10 Things You Don't Know About Me and Why Biohacking with Brittany Is Now The LongHer Life

Welcome to The LongHer Life, formerly Biohacking with Brittany. To kick off this new era, I'm not giving you a list of supplements. I'm giving you me. These are 10 things you probably don't know about me, and some of them I've never said on the mic before. I share why I outgrew Biohacking with Brittany, and I read you the letter I wrote to my old self to close that chapter. Then we go deep: growing up in South Africa and moving to Canada at 7, my parents' divorce and caring for them as a teenager, growing up very Christian and where I stand with faith and spirituality now, my breech baby and traumatic birth, and the postpartum anxiety and intrusive thoughts I didn't recognize until I came out of them. I also open up about the hardest season of my marriage, how I pick up on energy, the signs I keep getting that I'm going to have twins, why I thought I'd never work one on one again, and what it's like being a visionary who still has mom guilt. If you want to work with me, The Spark, my new 12 week one on one program, is open now. Microdosing Psilocybin for Women: How Much Is a Microdose, How It Works in the Brain, the Pineal Gland and Crown Chakra, Postpartum Anxiety, Mom Brain and Creativity

Magic mushrooms used to mean a party drug or a bad trip. Today psilocybin is in phase 3 clinical trials, and more women than you would ever guess are quietly microdosing for anxiety, creativity and the mental load of motherhood. In this episode I share why I microdose, how I do it, and everything I wish every woman knew before she tried it. I explain what psilocybin actually is, how much a microdose really is (and what I take), and what happens in your brain: the serotonin 2A receptor, BDNF, neuroplasticity, and why the loop of overthinking goes quiet. Then the energetic side: the crown chakra, the pineal gland, how psilocybin literally changes your brain's frequencies, and why sound has always been part of this medicine. I also get personal. My own microdosing journey before and after postpartum, my Sunday batch cooking ritual, the postpartum anxiety and intrusive thoughts I did not realize I had until I came out of them, and how microdosing helps me stay open to solutions instead of forcing the how. Peptides and Chakras for Women: HPA Dysregulation, PMOS, Insulin Resistance, Hashimoto's, Hot Flashes and Sleep, Mapped to All 8 Energy Centers | Her Stack Series

There are two maps of the same body that almost never get laid on top of each other. One is over a thousand years old and runs up your midline naming energy centers. One is about a hundred years old and runs up the same midline naming glands. In this episode I put them on top of each other, and then I add the peptides. I go center by center, all eight of them, and for each one I give you what the ancient text actually says, what the modern reading says, the gland that lives there, what shows up in women's health at that center, the peptides that run it with honest evidence strength, and then a practice: an affirmation, a meditation, a visualization, and three questions to sit with. I promise you there is not another podcast episode on this. The idea came to me in a meditation. If you want me to build this with you, my new one on one longevity program opens in September and the waitlist is live now. I am at capacity and my 1:1 consults are closed, so the waitlist is the only way in, and spots go first come first serve: https://biohackingbrittany.com/pages/waitlist I also share what is changing behind the scenes: the September rebrand, the new program structure that my A4M peptide therapy certification confirmed for me, the planner, the deck I am designing, and the psychic reading that I am not ready to share yet. WHAT I COVER Why my one on one consults are closed, and what is replacing them in September The peptide certification moment: you cannot out-peptide a dysregulated nervous system Two maps of the same body, 1577 and 1927, and why neither one wins The classical colors are not the rainbow, and what they actually are Root and the adrenals: the CRH to ACTH to cortisol cascade, HPA dysregulation, and Selank Sacral and the ovaries: kisspeptin as the master switch, PMOS, MOTS-c and mitochondrial density Why a 16th century text called a woman's body cyclical, and research did not include us until 1993 What can sit in the second chakra for women, said as gently as I know how Solar plexus and the pancreas: the most peptide dense place in your body, and why you have to ask for fasting insulin Heart and the thymus: the organ that teaches your body the difference between you and not you, and why roughly 80 percent of autoimmunity is female Throat and the thyroid: Hashimoto's, the full panel to ask for, and postpartum thyroiditis Third eye and the pituitary: growth hormone secretagogues, and the KNDy neuron circuit behind hot flashes Crown and the pineal: melatonin is not a peptide, most people take far too much, and Epitalon The 8th chakra: the aura, the soul star, and why the women who burn out are the ones holding the most people I TALK ABOUT: 00:00 - What is changing in September, and why my 1:1 consults are closed 08:27 - The planner, the deck, and what a psychic told me 12:23 - Peptides and chakras: two maps of the same body 15:38 - The 1577 lineage versus the 1927 rainbow 18:23 - Root: the adrenals, HPA dysregulation, and Selank 27:24 - Sacral: the ovaries, kisspeptin, PMOS, and MOTS-c 37:40 - Solar plexus: the pancreas, insulin resistance, and fasting insulin 43:03 - Heart: the thymus, autoimmunity in women, and thymosin alpha 1 49:10 - Throat: the thyroid, Hashimoto's, and the full panel to ask for 54:57 - Third eye: the pituitary, growth hormone peptides, and hot flashes 1:00:57 - Crown: the pineal, melatonin truths, and Epitalon 1:05:45 - The 8th chakra: the aura, the soul star, and what you carry out of a room RESOURCES: The waitlist for my new one on one longevity program, opening September 2026: https://biohackingbrittany.com/pages/waitlist The LongHer Life Longevity Community, including the full fertility suite and the peptide suite: https://biohackingbrittany.com/pages/longherlife The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk Dr. Joe Dispenza's books, mentioned throughout   CONNECT Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/biohackingbrittany/ Website: https://biohackingbrittany.com This episode is for education only and is not medical advice. Ovarian Longevity: Why Your Ovaries Age 15 Years Before The Rest Of You, AMH Truths, Cysts, PMOS, Endometriomas + The Sacral Chakra Nobody Told You About

You've probably heard that your ovaries age 2.5x times faster than the rest of your body. I went looking for that study. It does not exist. In this episode I trace that number back to an uncited supplement company blog post, and then I give you the one that is real: ovarian aging shows up 15 to 20 years earlier than in any other tissue in your body. Your ovaries are not a fertility organ. They are the organ that sets the pace for your bones, your heart, your brain and how long you live. This is the first episode built on my four pillars: Nourish, Stack, Live and Align. I also share what is changing behind the scenes, including my practice, my planner, and where this brand is going next.
