As someone reading through the Austen canon for the first time, I was thrilled to find Pod and Prejudice. Now I’m just anxiously waiting for them to get to Northanger Abbey.
Not for Experienced Austen Fans.

I really wanted to like this show and tried multiple times but I cannot handle it. I loved the idea of an inexperienced reader exploring Austen for the first time but neither of the hosts have the respect or desire to explore the author beyond the mainstream romance tropes. After the third time that the word canonically was spit out like this was the Marvel universe, I bailed for the final time. If you are here expecting fainting, swooning and Lady Whistledown, you might be okay. If you appreciate Jane Austen for her wit and social commentary…. Just move on.

I love this podcast, I was a huge P&P fan, but hadn't read any other Austen until I found your podcast and now I'm reading along with you! However, the real reason I'm writing a review is to let you know that you have infected my speech patterns and now anytime someone says "Who" I always respond "Whomst?"
Loving it

I really like vicariously living through experiencing Jane Austen’s books for the first time through Molly. I can’t wait for you to read Mansfield Park which is my favorite. My Jane Austen hot take is that Fanny Price deserves better than a choice between Henry Crawford and Edmund Bertram. As a Jewish girl who enjoys Jane Austen, I also love listening to your experience and comparing it to my own.
