    I recorded one of the most heartfelt podcast episodes I have ever done with my beautiful friend Dee. Dee helps homeless dogs here in Thailand, and I honestly do not know anyone who gives more of themselves than she does. She moved here after losing her parents, feeling broken, and somehow found healing through saving the dogs that nobody else would save. The abandoned pier dogs The sick puppies The injured ones The ones dumped, forgotten, and left behind. She shows up every single day. Over 200 dogs are being fed, treated, sheltered, and loved because of this small team. This conversation made me cry, and it will make you see animal rescue in a completely different way. She even got me to rescue three from the pier: Mali, Suri and Kia (@iamcraigmcdonald has put a limit of 3 🤣) If you have ever loved a dog, please listen.     There is one number that has controlled women for decades. And it is not just sabotaging their body composition. It is sabotaging their peace. In this episode Craig and I started talking about scale weight. But what unfolded was something much deeper than numbers, fat loss, or progress photos. Yes, we unpack why obsessing over body weight alone keeps women stuck. Why you can lose fat, gain muscle, get stronger, look better, and still feel like you have failed. Why the scale obsession often punishes the very progress you are trying to create. But underneath all of that Fear of not being enough. Fear of losing control. Fear of slowing down.     Most women think their symptoms are a hormone problem. But so often it is a nourishment problem. Renata came into our programme exhausted, wired, forgetting things, peeing all night and convinced that menopause had suddenly hit her like a truck. But when we looked closer it was years of low calories, stress, constant dieting and chasing super lean that pushed her body past its threshold. So instead of cutting more food we increased it. Instead of adding more training we got her training smarter so she was actually building muscle just four days per week. Instead of obsessing over the scales she learned to support her metabolism. And the result was wild. She now sits at 17% body fat and eats 250+ grams of carbs a day. She sleeps through the night. She lifts heavier than she has in years. She feels calm, grounded and actually enjoys food again. This is the power of eating enough to support your body rather than fighting it every day.
