Falling Into Your Strength with Diana Patton

What else are you capable of? That question sits at the heart of this episode of Falling In. Pamela sits down with Diana R. Patton, Esq., an attorney, former corporate executive, author, advocate and Strength Strategist who has spent decades helping people recognize and step into their authentic power. Now, at 58, Diana is exploring another expression of her own strength as she prepares to step onto a competitive bodybuilding stage for the first time. But this conversation isn’t really about bodybuilding. It’s about strength. It’s about what happens when a woman who has spent decades knowing the power of her mind, voice and leadership begins discovering another expression of that power through her body. Pamela and Diana talk about authentic power, menopause, discipline, advocacy, learning to work with your body instead of fighting against it, and the self-trust required to step into something you’ve never done before. And with Diana’s competition still ahead, neither of them knows how this particular chapter will end. But maybe that’s the point. Sometimes you don’t need to know the outcome before you say yes to discovering what you’re capable of. Because the muscle may be visible, but the self-trust is the story.  This is Falling In. Own It

What if some of the woman you’ve been working so hard to become is already here? This week on The Well Done Life, we’re closing out the conversation that began with Courageous Decisions and continued with Stand On It: Courage Has Consequences. We’ve talked about making the decision. We’ve talked about standing on it when other people don’t understand it. Now it’s time to own it. Doing this series gave me an opportunity to reflect on the decisions I’ve made for myself, my family and my life—and to recognize something powerful: I’m worth it. And I’m worth trusting. In this episode, we’re talking about what happens when you stop treating yourself like a perpetual renovation project and recognize that some of the work you’ve been doing is actually working. We’re talking about healing without making healing our identity. Therapy as a tool rather than a place we constantly go searching for what’s wrong. Recognizing the fruit of our consistency. Trusting the skills we’ve developed. Allowing ourselves to experience peace without waiting for the other shoe to drop. And most importantly, we’re talking about giving ourselves permission to LIVE. Owning yourself doesn’t mean you’ve arrived. You can still grow, learn, apologize, change your mind, ask for help and discover new things about yourself. The difference is that instead of constantly asking, “What’s wrong with me?” you begin from a place of “I trust myself to handle what comes next.” Maybe becoming isn’t always about turning into somebody new. Maybe sometimes becoming is finally giving yourself permission to be who you’ve been all along. You made the courageous decision. You stood on it. Now own it. Walk in it. Rest in it. Enjoy the fruit—and keep tending what God has trusted you to grow.   Listen to The Well Done Life wherever you get your podcasts Connect with me: Instagram: @thewelldonelife Threads: @thewelldonelife  Email: hello@thewelldonelife.com and thewelldonelife@gmail.com  Thank you for listening. Stand On It: Courage Has Consequences

Making the courageous decision is one thing. Standing on it when people don’t like your decision is something else entirely. This week on The Well Done Life, we’re continuing the conversation from “Courageous Decisions” and talking about what happens after you choose yourself, establish the boundary, make the change, or finally say no. Because courage has consequences. Sometimes people you love won’t understand your decision. Sometimes they’ll be disappointed. Sometimes your growth changes their access to you or disrupts expectations they had for your life. And sometimes people will try to use their feelings, disappointment, or history with you to convince you to reconsider. But here’s the thing: people are allowed to have feelings about your decisions. Their feelings don’t automatically get authority over them. In this episode, we’re talking about: The aftermath of courageous decisionsAllowing people to have their feelings without taking responsibility for fixing themRecognizing when feelings become leverageThe difference between being stubborn and being groundedListening to wise counsel without handing over the wheelWhy over-explaining can turn into seeking approvalThe guilt that can come with establishing boundariesAccepting that standing on your values may cost you somethingTrusting yourself enough to stand on the decisions you’ve madeStanding on business doesn’t mean being cold, dismissive, or unwilling to listen. It means knowing your values, examining your choices, accepting accountability when necessary, and understanding that someone else’s discomfort doesn’t automatically mean you’ve done something wrong. So this week, I want you to ask yourself: Is there something I genuinely need to reconsider—or am I questioning myself because someone else is uncomfortable with my decision? You made the courageous decision. Now comes the next part. Courage has consequences. Stand on it anyway.  Listen to The Well Done Life wherever you get your podcasts. #TheWellDoneLife #StandOnIt #CourageousDecisions #Boundaries #PersonalGrowth #IntentionalLiving #WomenOver40 Thank you for listening. Now That We Found Love: The First Year

One year ago, we said “I do.” In this special anniversary episode of The Well Done Life, my husband, Harry, joins me for an honest conversation about what we’ve learned during our first year of marriage. We each brought five questions for one another—and neither of us knew what the other was going to ask. Together, we reflect on the lessons we’ve learned about ourselves, what it means to love each other well, the importance of continuing to grow individually, and the hopes we’re carrying into Year Two. We also share the songs that best capture our first year of marriage and why those choices mean so much to us. This isn’t a conversation about having all the answers. It’s about choosing each other, growing together, and discovering that love isn’t just found—it’s nurtured every single day. Whether you’re married, dating, healing, or still believing that love is possible, we hope our journey reminds you that every relationship has its own timing, its own rhythm, and its own beautiful story. Thank you for celebrating this milestone with us. Welcome to Now That We Found Love: The First Year. My Journey, My Way

There comes a point in every journey where you realize that doing more isn’t always the answer. In this episode of The Well Done Life Podcast, I’m sharing a lesson I’ve been learning in real time: sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is trust yourself enough to slow down, listen, and honor your own path. For years, I believed progress required constant movement, pushing harder, and doing more. But as I’ve continued my health and wellness journey, I’ve discovered that rest isn’t the enemy of progress—it’s often a critical part of it. In this episode, we’re talking about: ✨ Why more isn’t always better ✨ The power of rest and recovery ✨ Learning to trust your instincts ✨ How to gather information without outsourcing your judgment ✨ Why your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s ✨ Taking ownership of your health, growth, and decisions ✨ The difference between information and wisdom Whether you’re navigating a wellness journey, a career transition, a relationship, or simply trying to become the best version of yourself, this episode is a reminder that your path is uniquely yours. You don’t have to follow someone else’s blueprint. You don’t have to rush the process. You don’t have to prove anything to anyone. This is your journey. Your way. Let’s talk about it. #TheWellDoneLife #WellnessOver40 #PersonalGrowth #HealthyLiving #SelfTrust #MindsetShift #WomenOver40 #WellnessJourney Thank you for listening. Text me your feedback.
