Hard Educational Decisions: A Conversation with Jamie Phipps

Anyone and everyone can homeschool their children, but sometimes, not everyone should homeschool.  The day you became a parent, you became your child's most important teacher so, yes, you can teach your child.  However, there may be life circumstances or challenging seasons that can make home education difficult.  And that is ok!  Saying no to homeschooling for one season doesn't mean it will be a hard "No" forever.  For different reasons, sometimes it is best to pause homeschooling for a more traditional approach.  And that is ok too!  If you are contemplating putting your child back into the public or private school setting, then make sure you listen to this week's conversation with homeschool mom and Humble Heart Press Owner, Jamie Phipps.  Carrie and Jamie candidly talk about how to wisely make this decision and how to move forward without guilt.  Pour yourself a cup of coffee, put your feet up, and join Jamie and Carrie for a little coffee and conversation about hard educational decisions.   Print (and bind) your ebooks or digital curriculum at Humble Heart Press: https://www.humbleheartpress.com/   Use the discount code:  COFFEE10 Connect with Jamie on Instagram @humbleheartpress. P.E Is Essential!

Yes, Physical Education (PE) is truly essential!  Movement and exercise play a key role in your child's overall learning and academic success. Free time is foundational for your teen's mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Everything is interconnected, and it all matters. In this week's episode, Carrie discusses why you shouldn't save physical activity for "after you finish your schoolwork." She explains how exercise supports better learning, improves retention, and helps break through academic challenges. If you've ever felt guilty about letting your kids spend more time playing outside, moving while doing schoolwork, or participating in sports instead of spending more time working on sit down, formal academic lessons, then this episode is a must-listen. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, put your feet up, and join Carrie for a relaxed conversation about incorporating more PE into your home education.  Be sure to tune in to next week's episode on Adventure Schooling!
