  1. The Divine Mother in Her Culmination: Grief, Rage, and Clarity

The Divine Mother in Her Culmination: Grief, Rage, and Clarity

In this episode, I bring my exploration of the Divine Mother to its culmination. Over the past several episodes, we have journeyed together through Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, discovering the many ways the Divine Mother reveals herself through the living world. Now I gather those threads together and explore what it means to find hope, belonging, and connection in a culture that often feels disconnected from her presence. 🤝 Share this Video: https://youtu.be/XtRljWwLOjY  🌿 Subscribe for herbal tips and wellness insights: https://bit.ly/4iRnpyX Using cards from several oracle and tarot decks, I reflect on the wounds many of us carry and the path that leads us home. Through the wisdom of Mary Magdalene, the creative spirit of community, the focused work of the healer, the integration of opposites, and the loving presence of the Earth herself, I share a roadmap for remembering who we are and how we belong. I also explore the growing role of artificial intelligence and the ways modern technology can begin to replace the traditional roles of oracle, elder, and shaman. From there, I discuss the importance of masks, ritual, and sacred boundaries in helping us inhabit our roles with greater clarity and purpose. To close, I introduce two beloved plant allies, Tulsi and Rose, and share how these herbs can become part of a daily ritual that helps us reconnect with the Divine Mother through the body, the senses, and the heart. In this episode we are weaving together a Treasure Map intended to help us: Remember who we are through the practice stillness Looking for medicine keepers and teachers in the people around us Finding the Beloved through the integration of opposites AI, modern culture, and the loss of sacred intermediaries The role of masks and boundaries in spiritual life Love the Earth and our bodies as one in the same  And most importantly, my intention is to weave a path toward hope, belonging, and embodied connection. Thank you for joining me on this journey through the elements and the many faces of the Divine Mother.Resources:Study with Me! 2. The Divine Mother in Air: She Who Sings the World Awake

    Jun 15

The Divine Mother in Air: She Who Sings the World Awake

Before there was prayer, before there was song, before there was language, there was breath. Across ancient traditions, breath and spirit were understood to be one and the same, revealing air as one of the most intimate ways we experience the sacred. 🤝 Share this Video: https://youtu.be/VzCcEMv8xW8  🌿 Subscribe for herbal tips and wellness insights: https://bit.ly/4iRnpyX Drawing from mythology, spirituality, and personal reflection, I explore the goddesses Iris and the Sibyls, the role of sound and transmission in divine communication, and what it means to reclaim the voice in a world that often encourages silence and self censorship. I also reflect on the wounds of the air element, from environmental pollution to the social and spiritual forces that make authentic expression feel increasingly difficult. I introduce the herbs of the episode, Elder and Tulsi, two beloved plants that embody the wisdom of air through their gifts of protection, resilience, clarity, and connection. In this episode I explore:  • Breath as the meeting place of spirit and body  • The Divine Mother as voice, song, and inspiration  • Iris, the Sibyls, and the archetypes of transmission and prophecy  • The environmental and spiritual wounds of the air element  • Elder and Tulsi as herbal allies of voice and vitality  • The arrival of voice as a form of homecoming This episode is an invitation to breathe deeply, trust what wants to be expressed through you, and remember that your voice is not separate from spirit. The Divine Mother sings through birdsong, prayer, wind, poetry, music, and human speech. When we allow ourselves to speak what is true, we become part of that song.  Resources Herbal Tarot Deck by Michael Tierra and Leslie Tierra - https://www.amazon.com/Herbal-Tarot-Michael-Tierra/dp/0914171834  Elder Tree - Sacred Plant - https://www.herbrally.com/monographs/elder   Tulsi (Holy Basil) - Sacred Herb - https://www.herbrally.com/monographs/tulsi   Humming and Sound Therapy Research - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6369174/  Tarot Card Meanings and Spiritual Guides - https://www.spiritlibrary.com/tarot  HERBAL COURSES 🌱 HERBAL FOUNDATIONS APPRENTICESHIP A 12‑month online journey designed to help you weave herbal medicine into the fabric of daily life. 3. The Divine Mother in Fire: The Fire They Tried to Put Out

    Jun 8

The Divine Mother in Fire: The Fire They Tried to Put Out

In this episode of The Divine Mother Series, I explore fire as an expression of the Divine Mother through the lenses of desire, devotion, and the ancient practice of tending the sacred flame. Drawing from the stories of Hestia, Vesta, Brigid, and the lineage of women who have served as keepers of the hearth across cultures and centuries, I reflect on what happens when our deepest desires are shamed, suppressed, or forgotten. Together, we explore the sacred nature of longing and why the Divine Mother calls us not to extinguish our inner fire, but to tend it with care and devotion. I share how desire can transform into rage when it is denied, how the untended flame can become numbness and exhaustion, and how reclaiming what we truly want is often the first step toward healing. Through mythology, ritual, and personal reflection, this episode invites us to remember that our longing is not a problem to solve but a sacred force that can guide us home. I also explore the ancient tradition of sacred smoke and the herbs that have long been offered to the fire as prayer, including sage, rose, lavender, chamomile, mullein, cinnamon, and frankincense. In this episode I explore:  • The Divine Mother as hearth keeper and sacred flame  • Desire as a spiritual and creative force  • Hestia, Vesta, Brigid, and the lineage of women as fire keepers  • Rage, numbness, and the consequences of an untended fire  • Sacred smoke rituals and herbal allies for devotion  • How to tend the flame of the soul through daily practice This episode is an invitation to trust what your soul desires, to stop apologizing for what is calling you forward, and to remember that the fire they tried to put out may be the very fire that lights the way home. The Divine Mother in Water, Part Two: Water Wounds and the Long Path to Healing

In this episode, the second in my Divine Mother in Water series, I go somewhere more personal and more tender than the first. I share two near-drowning experiences I had while surfing in Costa Rica, and what happened to my relationship with water afterward, the panic attacks, the years of avoidance, and the long, slow path back to trust. I also hold space for a listener who shared something extraordinary in the comments of the first episode, a woman who witnessed her mother drown as a child and has spent years working to heal her fear of water. Her courage in naming that opened this episode for me 🌿 Subscribe for herbal tips and wellness insights: https://bit.ly/4iRnpyX Water wounds are real, and they run deep. In this talk we explore why trauma involving water can be so particularly stubborn and disorienting, and what the path of healing actually looks like, including the somatic and EMDR work that helped me reclaim my own relationship with water after years of fear.  We will also look at the dark aspects of water, and how we can hold both its destructive and healing properties at the same time In this episode we explore:         •       Why water trauma cuts so deep and how the nervous system holds it differently than other kinds of shock         •       The slow, non-linear nature of healing water wounds, and why patience and gentleness are not optional         •       My personal journey from near-drowning to reclaiming swimming, surfing, and a sense of safety in water         •       Somatic retraining and EMDR as pathways back to the body and back to trust         •       The role of the divine mother in water healing I also share two flower essences, Star of Bethlehem and White Pond Lily, that I’ve found supportive for those working to heal a difficult relationship with water. This episode is for anyone who has been hurt by water, who carries a fear they don’t fully understand, and for anyone on the long path back to something they loved before it frightened them. The Divine Mother in Water: When Listening and Longing Lead Us to the Well

In this episode of The Divine Mother Series, I explore water as one of the deepest expressions of the Divine Mother through stories from my recent pilgrimage to Italy, reflections on sacred wells and Marian traditions, and the healing wisdom of rivers, springs, and holy waters. I share how water has long been understood as a source of memory, devotion, prophecy, and healing, weaving together mythology, herbalism, ecology, and nervous system restoration. From the Sacred Madonna traditions of southern Italy to the science of “blue mind,” this episode explores why the feminine divine so often reveals herself through water. 🤝 Share this Video: https://youtu.be/IZ7BP8FRE6U  🌿 Subscribe for herbal tips and wellness insights: https://bit.ly/4iRnpyX I also introduce the herb of the episode, Blue Flag Iris, a powerful medicine of purification, flow, and transformation that teaches us how to move what has become stagnant within us. In this episode I explore: • Sacred wells, pilgrimage, and Marian traditions  • Water as memory, oracle, and living intelligence  • The healing relationship between water and the nervous system  • Blue Flag Iris and the medicine of purification  • The qualities of water as expressions of the Divine Feminine This episode offers practical ways to engage with water as daily spiritual practice and to remember that the voice of the mother is still speaking through the living waters of the earth. I hope you find this conversation to be engaging. It is with a most humble heart that I try to explore what they complex archetypes can show us in modern times. The Divine Mother in Earth: When Grief and Hunger become Sacred Ground

In this first episode of The Divine Mother Series, I explore the archetype of the Divine Mother through the power of Earth, place, and sacred sites. I weave in reflections from my recent travels to Italy, encounters with sacred images of the Goddess, and contemplations on hunger, craving, and earth grief in a rapidly changing world. I weave together the symbolism of Mary Magdalene, the Black Madonna, pilgrimage traditions, and personal spiritual practices that help me reconnect with the sacred feminine and remember what has been lost and what still lives within us. 🤝 Share this Video: https://youtu.be/zodsq7MUsjY  🌿 Subscribe for herbal tips and wellness insights: https://bit.ly/4iRnpyX This episode is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and rediscover devotion through the body, the land, and the wisdom carried within ancient traditions. I also reflect on the emotional reality of environmental desecration, the longing many of us feel for rootedness and belonging, and how sacred remembrance can become a healing practice in daily life. In this episode I explore: • Earth grief and spiritual disconnection • Mary Magdalene and the Black Madonna traditions • What it means to “sanctify” a place and why holy places “feel” different • Practices for reconnecting with the Divine Mother • Questions to keep you close to the mother in your heart I hope you enjoy this episode and please share your reflections and if anything you heard was helpful in your own spiritual journey. May 11

Rage and the Goddess: When Anger Becomes Sacred Vision

In this episode, I explore what it means to see clearly in a world that often does not want to see. I weave together personal stories of rage and anger and share the story of Cassandra, the woman who was never wrong yet never believed. I will talk about what that pattern feels like in the body and in everyday life. Living in the suburbs, raising children, and moving through a culture that feels disconnected from the earth, I speak honestly about the tension of holding truths that are not always welcomed. 🤝 Share this Video: https://youtu.be/ILsrSZreMjk  🌿 Subscribe for herbal tips and wellness insights: https://bit.ly/4iRnpyX We move into the deeper teaching that anger is not a problem to fix but a message to listen to. Through the story of Demeter and my own experiences, I reflect on what our anger might be asking of us and how we can begin to work with it instead of pushing it away. Alongside these stories, I share three plant allies that support this process: - Blue Vervain for the nervous system that is holding too much  - Black Cohosh for diving into the subterranean subconscious and ancestral patterns of darkness and rage - Dandelion for helping the body move and transform anger into something life giving. Sky House Herb School Website: https://www.skyhouseherbs.com/  I also introduce the Black Madonna as a symbol of the dark knowing feminine, the one who has sat in grief and come through with clarity and strength. I also share some practical ways you can sit with your own darkness and “basement material” to see what your anger is trying to tell you. This episode is an invitation to return to yourself in small, tangible ways. To sit with what you know. To honor what you feel. And to begin the healing process from within. If you are someone who feels deeply, sees clearly, and is learning how to live with both, this space is for you.
