The Langoliers with Elan Gale
When you have a story featuring timeaters that may or may not resemble flying meatballs with metal teeth you have to bring in the best of the best to break it down. Lucky for us Elan Gale (The Bachelor, FBOY Island, and the upcoming Stephen King adaptation The Life of Chuck) answered the call to come chat The Langoliers with the Kingcast Boys.
What was Elan's take on the mini-series? Why is Bronson Pinchot so damn cool? What would Wampler do if he found himself in the Langoliers's dimension and why is Elan pressing him on his empty world daydreams? All these questions and more will be answered in this episode! -
Design Your Own Stephen King Video Game with Alyssa Mercante
Kotaku's Alyssa Mercante joins Wampler and Vespe for an interesting thought experiment: What would you do if you could design your own Stephen King video game? Would you make a AAA giant budget title or something smaller and more indie? You have the entire Stephen King oeuvre at your disposal, what do you do? Alyssa kicks things off with her pitch, Vespe follows, and Wampler closes the loop. All radically different, all something we'd actually play if it existed. Come play with us!

Children of the Corn: Genesis with K. Thor Jensen
Writer, editor, and cartoonist K. Thor Jensen has been summoned onto The Kingcast to help cover the prestigious King-related title that is 2011's Children of the Corn: Genesis. We are deep into the Corn Boys catalogue now, my lovelies, and this particular installment is perhaps one of the more bizarre entries in the Dimension Films direct-to-video era, featuring Kelen Coleman's muddy feet, a psychic corn child, delightful character actors Billy Drago and Duane Whitaker, actual footage from Michael Bay's Bad Boys 2, and some of the most confounding writing to ever appear in a low budget genre sequel. Brace yourselves for this one, folks.

The Shining with Keith Gordon
You haven't really lived until you hear the acclaimed actor and director Keith Gordon (Christine, Back to School, Dressed to Kill, Mother Night) contemplate the blowjob dog ghost for a surprisingly long period of time. You get exactly that, plus a ton of talk about his work with John Carpenter in Christine, Brian De Palma in Dressed to Kill, as well as his early directorial outing Wild Palms.
Keith is a cinephile and happened to be in the opening weekend audience when Stanley Kubrick's The Shining debuted, which means he saw the original ending before Kubrick cut it. He tells us about that as well as his thoughts on his first ever reading of King's original novel in this super-sized episode. -
Sleepwalkers with Stephen Graham Jones
Best Selling Author Stephen Graham Jones has a brand new book out called The Angel of Indian Lake that wraps up his Jade Daniels Trilogy and to celebrate he has returned to The Kingcast to discuss the bonkers film Sleepwalkers. Along the way, we talk about how much Hollywood is courting him for an adaptation of this newly minted trilogy, brainstorm a gritty Mr. Ed reboot, debate about the ethics of incest among Sleepwalkers, and get a brand new, highly triggering, animal encounter story from Dr. Jones. Fair warning, just after the midroll ad read, about the 45-ish minute marek, he tells not one, but two very sad stories from his childhood about cats. It's a lot, so no worries if you need to skip that section, but we promise the rest will make you laugh a lot.

Bag of Bones with Emily V. Gordon
The great writer, producer, and podcaster Emily V. Gordon (The Big Sick, Indoor Kids) returns to The Kingcast to talk about Bag of Bones, a title long demanded by The Kingcast listenership and one filled with chewy topics of conversation. Why is it so scary that the one you love could be taken away in a split second? What could that do to your heart and mind? Why is that tree so sexy? All those questions and more are answered in this entertaining look at King's book and Mick Garris's adaptation starring the one and only Pierce Brosnan.

Keith Gordon is the Best
This is your best episode! Thank you so much!
What happened…
Former favorite pod. Still attempt to listen every week if there’s a good guest, but it’s becoming less and less. Cannot deal with Scott anymore. Dude feels the need to tell every guest about Doctor Sleep being the worst book ever written even though he hasn’t read it (Don’t care if you like the book or not, just weird to actively tell every guest not to read a book). Rarely reads any of the books before the guest comes on like the other host. Does not seem like he wants to be there or even enjoys King. Show is carried by great guests and Eric.
Keith Gordon
Wampler, lay off the sauce. This should’ve been a great episode but I couldn’t make it through due to the second hand cringe of your aggressively slurred dialogue. Could only imagine how Vespe felt recording this with you. Vespe deserves a better co-host.
