I Waited Years for My Dad to Come Home. He Never Did.

What happens when you don't get the second chance you've been praying for? On this episode of This Is Real, I sit down with Krystal, and this is a story I believe a lot of people need to hear. Growing up, Krystal watched her father go in and out of prison. He provided for his family, but what she wanted most was his time. As their relationship grew stronger, she looked forward to the day he would finally come home. But that day never came. Just two weeks before his passing, Krystal felt God telling her to let him know she loved him and forgave him. She thought she had more time. Years later, she found herself facing similar circumstances in her marriage. But through faith, difficult decisions, and surrendering to God, their story took a different turn. You know, sometimes we live like there's always going to be another opportunity to forgive, make things right, or change our lives. But what if that chance never comes? I pray this conversation encourages you to make the most of the time God has given you. Don't wait until tomorrow to do what you can do today. Watch this episode and share it with someone who needs to hear it. He Came to Church High, Then God Changed Everything

Robert came to church high, expecting to give God one hour before returning to life as usual. But becoming a father forced him to confront his childhood and break the cycles he didn’t want his son to repeat. In this episode, Robert shares how church, community, and forgiveness led him to fully surrender his life to Christ. From healing the wounds caused by his absent father to leading young athletes in prayer, his story shows how one surrendered life can begin transforming an entire family. GOD is GOOD, even on my worst Day

God is good, even on your worst day. Your circumstances may change, but His character never does. In this episode of This Is Real, Pastor Juan shares why one bad moment doesn’t have to become a bad day, how gratitude changes what we notice, and why we can rejoice even when life doesn’t go our way. Your difficult moment is not the whole story. God is still working, God is still with you, and God is still good. Key Verse: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 Scriptures Referenced: James 1:17, Psalm 34:8, 2 Corinthians 4:17, John 16:33, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, and Nahum 1:7. She Was Molested at 9 and Carried the Blame for Years

Pastor Bonita opens up about being molested by a family member at nine years old and carrying the pain, shame, and false belief that it was her fault. For years, she hid what she was feeling behind a smile. In this honest conversation, she shares how God began healing the parts of her story she tried to forget and helped her walk through one of the hardest decisions of her life: forgiveness. This is a real conversation about childhood trauma, identity, healing, and the freedom that comes when we allow God into the places we’ve kept buried. He Left Her With Two Babies and Bills She Couldn’t Afford—Then Jesus Changed Him

On this episode of This Is Real, Pastor Bonita shares what it was like raising two young boys while Brian was battling addiction and serving time in prison. She was working full-time, paying bills she couldn’t afford, accepting collect calls, putting money on his books, and driving to visit him every month. On paper, it didn’t make sense—but God continued to provide. Brian opens up about the damage his addiction caused and the moment Jesus met him behind bars. Bonita shares why she stayed, how she knew his change was real, and the work it took to rebuild their lives. This is a real conversation about addiction, prison, forgiveness, restoration, and what can happen when Jesus steps into a broken story. Please understand that every situation is different, and it is not always healthy or safe to stay. When Shame Says You’re Disqualified, God’s Word Says Otherwise

In this episode, I sit down with special guest Mandi Delcampo. She grew up in church and encountered the Holy Spirit at a young age, but years of compromise, divorce, shame, and condemnation left her wondering if God would ever take her back. Mandi opens up about rededicating her life to Jesus, battling torment in her mind, and discovering who she truly is through the Word of God. Her story proves that no matter how far you think you’ve gone, the grace of God can still find you. This is a real conversation about surrender, identity, being born again, and why we need both Spirit and truth. Everybody Knew Her as Powda...Then Jesus Changed Everything

ANGLK was once known as Powda in the Houston rap scene. She started making music as a teenager, spent years partying and smoking, and built a life far from God. Then Jesus got her attention. In this episode, ANGLK shares how God began changing her from the inside out, how He freed her from a 25-year dependence on weed, and how the transformation in her life began impacting her husband and children. Now, the same woman who once made music celebrating the life she was living is using her music and testimony to point people back to Jesus. This is a story of redemption, surrender, and the power of a life completely changed by God. Compromise Starts Small: What Are You Feeding Your Spirit?

Compromise rarely starts with one big decision. It starts with something small that we keep looking at, entertaining, or justifying. In this episode of This Is Real, Juan Martinez sits down with Christian on a Mission, formerly known as Lucky Luciano, to talk about leaving an old identity behind, the influence of music and culture, temptation, spiritual warfare, community, and learning to fully surrender to God. They also get into what happens when God changes the plans you thought He gave you—and how those moments can reveal what’s really in your heart. Following Jesus isn’t just about what we leave behind. It’s about becoming more like Him.
