    Hell Fears Your Hallelujah | Toby Bowker | Captivate Church

    This Sunday we kicked off a brand-new summer series called, “This Verse Changed My Life.” Throughout this series, we’ll hear from different members of our teaching team as they unpack verses that God has used to deeply shape their faith. These aren't just favorite passages—they're Scriptures that are meant to challenge, change, and help form into becoming more like Christ. We kicked things off with a message built around one of the most well-known words in the Bible: Hallelujah. For many of us, praise is something we do when life is going well. But what if praise was never meant to be based on our circumstances? What if your greatest breakthrough isn't waiting for the perfect moment? What if it begins the moment you choose to worship? We discovered that our hallelujah is more than a song we sing—it's a declaration of who God is, who's truly in control, and a powerful act of obedience that changes us from the inside out. The beautiful thing about God's Word is that what He does in one person's life, He often wants to do in ours too. We believe Scripture isn't meant to simply inform us—it transforms us. Our prayer is that throughout this series, God would use His Word to strengthen your faith, shift your perspective, and maybe even give you a verse that changes your life too.     Romans 16: The Romans Test | Weston Stutz | Captivate Church

    This Sunday was a special one for us as we wrapped up the book of Romans. We’ve been in this series since February, and it’s been such a powerful journey. As we close this series, we’re not just looking back, we’re asking, what now? Romans was never meant to just inform us, it was meant to transform us. It shows us that through Jesus we’ve been given a new footing with God, a new family to belong to, and a new future to step into. But the tension is… We can know all of that, and still not live in it. This Sunday was about closing the gap between what we know and how we live, an invitation to take everything we’ve learned and actually apply it. We explored what it looked like to release the condemnation Jesus has already paid for, to step out of isolation and into the family God has given us, and to begin living in the future He’s already secured for us.  As we conclude this series, the goal wasn’t just to celebrate what we’ve learned, it’s to step into it, to leave not just encouraged, but activated! We unpacked this in a message called, “The Romans Test.”

    Romans 15: Made For Second Place | Caleb Carballo

    Most of us can point to moments in life where we realized that the world doesn't actually revolve around us. Maybe it was becoming a parent. Maybe it was getting married. Maybe it was caring for a friend in a difficult season. Whatever the circumstance, there's something both humbling and freeing about discovering that life is bigger than our own wants, preferences, and plans. This week in Romans 15, Paul brings one of the major themes of his letter to a head. In a culture that constantly tells us to put ourselves first, Paul points us to a different way of living—a life that isn't centered on self, but on loving, serving, encouraging, and building up others. It’s the life that Jesus modeled himself. And ironically, as we learned together, some of the greatest freedom in life is found when we stop trying to be the main character.     Father’s Day 2026 | Captivate Church

    Here's the thing — most of us grew up on a certain script for manhood. Be tough. Never flinch. Never need anybody. Win at all costs. Be a real man. But what if that whole script has been pointing us in the wrong direction? What if God is measuring something the world never even thinks to check?
