    THE BREATH!

    THE BREATH!

Dr Gillyanne Kayes & Jeremy Fisher dive deep into breathing techniques for singers & speakers.
    And we share
What MDs really shouldn’t do to their singersWhy one of the classical “rules” really doesn’t serve the singer (and you still hear it on recordings)When you don’t need much breathWhy rhythm is so important for easy singing (and it may not be what you think)Why Rib Reserve and Accent Method are opposite breathing techniques and how you might use them together (or not)How you can maintain “pressure” in long notesJeremy demonstrates what happens to his voice following an old breathing techniqueAnd you hear us fact-checking each other on physiology (because after all, we’re humans)RESOURCES

    Singing teachers talk business!

    Singing teachers talk business!

We're talking business, singing and marketing with founder of the Speakeasy Cooperative (SECO) Michelle Markwart Deveaux

We share what happened when Michelle coached us in our own business (Vocal Process), and the two MAJOR decisions we made that have turned our lives around.

    We find out
The main reason why it's difficult to make your singing studio work financiallyWhy marketing yourself is essential in these days of the internet and the PandemicWhy "nicheing" is better than "all genres, all ages, all levels" to get more (and better) studentsWhy being on the internet DOESN'T mean you have to go globalThe difference between local and global, and which "brand" we are and whyThe Vocal Process Learning Lounge

Courageous Artistry ,

A worthwhile listen!

The hosts are fun, informative, and touch on lots of different topics that singers can benefit from.

Comedyluver ,

Delightfully Informative

I loved both of the SOVT episodes. I feel like SOVT is generally portrayed as a safe exercise for all without challenging how it relates to the individual voice. The episodes bring up some important things to explore and consider when it comes to implementing the technique as well as choosing what device you use. Overall I am really enjoying the episodes. Gillyanne and Jeremy continue to lift my spirits as well as my musical IQ with every listen. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to expand their vocal knowledge or are curious about the vocal process in general.

Essential!

Gillyanne and Jeremy are literally THE vocal powerhouse couple! They are all things fun, entertaining AND filled with knowledge about the vocal process. Highly recommend!
