EP 314: T-Time Tuesdays "Breakfast With Tiffany Show 6th Year Anniversary!"

Send us Fan Mail In this special edition of T-Time Tuesdays, Tiffany is joined by co-host Maki Gingoyon to celebrate the 6th anniversary of our podcast! In this episode, Tiffany and Maki look back on the previous years of running the podcast, sharing stories, experiences, and meaningful conversations with guests and listeners from around the world. The conversation begins with the usuals, what's the best things that have happened to them lately as well as positive news from the LGBTQ+ community. Through Tiffany’s experience attending a university diversity forum, they reflect on the impact of tangible LGBTQ+ visibility and the importance of support from allies. The conversation then expands to positive developments for the LGBTQ+ community in South Korea, including the approval of the Byun Hee-soo Foundation, an organization working to protect and advance the rights of transgender people. They also reflect on some of the deeply rooted religious and traditional attitudes that continue to affect transgender people in South Korean society. Finally, Tiffany asks Maki what T-Time Tuesdays has meant to her and what she has learned through being part of the show. Together, they reflect on what the podcast means not only to themselves, but also to the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. Throughout the episode, Tiffany and Maki celebrate the changes that are happening while recognizing the changes that are still needed. As the Breakfast With Tiffany Show celebrates six years, this episode invites listeners to reflect on why LGBTQ+ storytelling and visibility continue to matter and to consider the role each of us can play in building a more understanding and inclusive world. EP 313: Christianity, Queer Youth, And The Search For Safe Belonging (PART 3)

Send us Fan Mail Welcome to the 313th episode of the Breakfast With Tiffany Show! In this episode, we continue our conversation with D and Henry. This is Part 3 of our conversation, following Episode 311, “We Found Love In A Hopeless Place – A Trans Love Story (PART 1)” and Episode 312, “The Reality Of Being Trans In America Today! With D Dangaran & Henry Jeanneret (PART 2).” We recommend listening to the previous episodes first to experience their full story. In this episode, D shares more about her work as an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Henry opens up about his family background and his experiences as a transgender person within the Catholic community, and host Tiffany asks both guests a powerful question: How do you want to be remembered? The conversation begins with D sharing more about her work as an Assistant Professor of Law and her experiences educating students from different identities and backgrounds. Next, Tiffany asks Henry about his family and upbringing. Henry opens up about coming out to his family and friends and navigating his transgender identity while being part of a Catholic community. He shares some of the difficult experiences he has encountered, as well as the meaningful support he has received from family and others along the way. The conversation expands into a thoughtful exploration of the relationship between religion and LGBTQ+ identities, and how faith, acceptance, and identity can intersect in very different ways. Finally, D and Henry reflect on how they hope to be remembered. Through their answers, listeners are invited to consider their own values, future goals, and the legacy they hope to leave behind. Throughout the episode, D and Henry offer different perspectives shaped by their own lived experiences. Their stories invite us not only to understand lives that may be different from our own, but also to reflect on a universal question: How do we want to shape our lives and how do we want to be remembered?
