Below Saint Lucia, an underwater sculpture park designed to combine the island’s history and culture with marine conservation and new opportunities for local communities, was the topic of a discussion led by Alan Fine of Insider Travel Report with Donalyn Vittet, permanent secretary in Saint Lucia’s ministry of tourism, commerce, investment, creative industries, culture and heritage; Timothy Ferdinand, senior tourism officer and project officer; and Darnica Jn. Charles, project liaison officer for tourism. Also discussed are the park’s 34 installations, plans for snorkeling and conservation areas, a virtual reality experience and how local dive operators and other businesses will benefit from the project.
