The Strong Women Podcast

In our culture, if a woman is said to have strength it usually means she is competing with a man or acting like a man. What if there is strength in the way God made us, as women? There is and we recognize it when we see it. We are excited to introduce you to women who display true strength, not in spite of being women but because of it.

In this final episode of the Strong Women Podcast, Maggie Hudson is back to help me reflect on this season and look ahead. We chat about slowing down to observe the season of Advent, what I've learned through this season's conversations, what it looks like to find and embrace God's calling in changing seasons, and more. I hope you'll take some time to listen to this reflective conversation and bookend to the Strong Women Podcast.    Hope House  The Silver Chair by C. S. S6 12: Growing in Christ as You Grow Older with Elisa Morgan

Elisa Morgan knows what it's like to mother through every season—from raising young kids to walking alongside adult children through different challenges. She spent years investing in mothers as the first president of MOPS International (now MomCo), but in this season of life she's discovering something sacred about aging: The purpose isn't to do more—it's to grow more like Christ. We talk about leaning into our limitations, praying for our kids, and asking what God is calling us to give birth to in each new season.   Elisa's Podcast, God Hears Her  The MomCo   Be the Bridge: Pursuing God's Heart for Racial Reconciliation by Latasha Morrison  Jobs to be Done: Theory to Practice by Anthony W. S6 11: Sharing the Love of Christ with Single Moms with Lisa Steven

Lisa Steven said yes to God when she had no idea how to run a residential program for single moms—and He's been showing up ever since. From miraculous provision to stories of young mothers discovering their dignity as image bearers, Lisa shares what it looks like to build Hope House on total dependence on God rather than her own strength. This is a conversation about saying yes even when you're not equipped, and watching God surround you with exactly what you need.   Hope House  MOPS International Truth Rising – truthrising.com/colson "Give, Save, Spend" equips you with a biblical foundation for financial stewardship and practical tools to manage money wisely and plan for long-term stability. S6 10: What is my Calling? With Steve Garber

What if your calling is already right in front of you? Steve Garber helps us see that vocation isn't primarily about the perfect career path or the unique occupations we have; it's about responding to a God who speaks and calls us to faithfulness in the small, everyday moments that make up our lives. Steve joins me this week to talk about calling, living with integrity, and why the "little moments" in life are more significant than we think.    Visions of Vocation: Common Grace for the Common Good by Steve Garber  The Fabric of Faithfulness: Weaving Together Belief and Behavior by Steve Garber  The Gospel in a Pluralist Society by Lesslie Newbigin  David Copperfield by Charles Dickens      Truth Rising – truthrising.com/colson     "Give, Save, Spend" equips you with a biblical foundation for financial stewardship and practical tools to manage money wisely and plan for long-term stability.
