The Fructose Model with Chris Mearns!

Send us Fan Mail Chris Mearns is the founder of LIV3 Health and the creator of the Fructose Model, a systems-based approach focused on how fructose metabolism may influence cellular energetics and contribute to chronic metabolic dysfunction. He is a primary author involved in the development of scientific literature advancing a broader model of metabolic health. His work integrates findings across biochemistry, physiology, and clinical research, with particular attention to fructokinase activity, uric acid signaling, mitochondrial function, and cellular energy dynamics. This work aims to unify established concepts, such as metabolic syndrome, mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation, and neurodegeneration, within a common energetic framework centered on cellular energy availability and recovery capacity. It also explores how this perspective may help reconcile existing models of metabolism while connecting survival pathways to the progression of chronic disease. Chris is known for bridging the gap between scientific research and real-world application. Through podcast appearances and his YouTube channel, @TheFructoseModel, he translates complex metabolic science into clear, usable insights for both general audiences and health professionals. His research, educational work, and product development are guided by a central thesis: restoring metabolic resilience requires addressing upstream energetic stress, with fructose metabolism representing a central, yet often underrecognized, influence. SPECIAL EPISODE! The Heritage Series with James Nestor, Author of Breath! 1028

Send us Fan Mail Today we’re releasing a new episode from a brand new series called the Boundless Body Radio Heritage Series! I wanted to do something extra special to celebrate 1,000 podcast episodes recorded here at Boundless Body Radio, a milestone that we hit on June 24, 2026! These episodes are actually not new, although they might be new to you! When we first got started back in October, 2020, I was so fortunate that so many incredible people said "YES" to being hosted on the show, however, we didn’t have very many listeners at the time! Today, we get thousands of downloads every single month, and are usually included in the top 150 Fitness and Nutrition Podcasts on the Apple Podcast charts! To honor our amazing guests, I will be selecting one of those original episodes and posting them here on for this special series! As I was going through these episodes again, I remembered how valuable these conversations actually were. it was really striking how much the information these experts have shared has born out to be even more accurate several years later. The audio quality of a show was not as good back then as it is now, but I still really hope you enjoy these episodes, and find them relevant and helpful to you today! Cheers, thanks as always for listening, and I really hope you enjoy this episode of the Boundless Body Radio Heritage Series! Inhale. Exhale. A breath may be simple, and you do it mostly without thinking about it, but it is incredibly important. Bestselling author and journalist James Nestor has been involved with investigating breath for over a decade. And his work is incredible. He wrote the book Deep: Freediving, Renegade Science, and What The Ocean Tells Us about Ourselves in 2014, all about the sport of free diving, literally diving to the depths of the ocean on a single breath. In 2020, he wrote the bestseller Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art, an amazing deep dive into the importance of proper breathing, why we have forgotten about its importance, and how to practically incorporate proper breathing strategies. We are so grateful for James and his work, and we are glad he took the time to speak with us today! Whole Men's Health with Dr. Stephen Sanders! 1026

Send us Fan Mail Dr. Stephen Sanders is a husband, father, and board-certified family medicine physician who helps men dominate life with purpose, strength, and energy. With more than 15 years of leadership in clinical medicine, consulting, and entrepreneurship, he leads Whole Men’s Health, a precision men’s health and performance clinic specializing in testosterone optimization, hormone therapy, longevity medicine, and peak vitality. His passion for men’s health is personal. In his late 30s, Dr. Sanders battled intense fatigue, brain fog, and declining energy, until he rebuilt his own health through hormone optimization, nutrition, and performance medicine. That transformation revealed a truth he now teaches every day: men often push through symptoms until they crash. What began as his personal recovery became a professional mission to help men reclaim strength, focus, and purpose; to lead powerfully at home, at work, and in life. Dr. Sanders earned his MD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, his MPH in Health Policy and Management from Emory University, and his BA in History and Chemistry from the University of Alabama. He provides nationwide medical oversight to a team of clinicians delivering personalized, physician-guided men’s health care. A true believer in practicing what he preaches, Dr. Sanders lives men’s health daily, integrating fitness, faith, family, and discipline into his own life. Outside of medicine, he’s a fitness enthusiast, mountain adventurer, and lifelong learner who embodies the balance of physical strength, mental resilience, and spiritual grounding he teaches his patients.
