    First, Third, Fourth… SECOND in 2026 USL West! What a Finale!

    In this episode of State of the Republic, we talk about Sacramento Republic FC’s dramatic 3–2 win over Oakland Roots in the regular-season finale! It was a wild night in the Western Conference standings, with Republic moving from first to third, then fourth, before the victory pushed Sacramento back up to second place, behind New Mexico United, who finished in first. We break down the thrilling finale, look at the final USL Championship standings, and review how the playoff picture came together in both the Western and Eastern Conferences.     One Goal at El Paso. Three Points. Home Playoffs!

    In this episode of State of the Republic, we talk about Sacramento Republic FC’s massive 1–0 win over first-place El Paso Locomotive FC, sealed by a late goal in the final minutes of the match! This huge road victory means Republic will host its first USL Championship playoff game at home on Sunday, November 1! We break down the dramatic finish and what this result means for Sacramento as the regular season comes to a close. With home-field advantage secured for the first playoff round, Republic still has a chance to climb even higher in the Western Conference standings. We also preview Sacramento’s final regular-season matchup against Oakland Roots and review the latest USL Championship standings.     A Point Earned at Home, a Playoff Spot Secured!

    Three Strikes for New Mexico United!

    The Goalposts Stole Three Points!

    In this episode of State of the Republic, we talk about Sacramento Republic FC’s 0–0 draw against San Antonio FC — or, as we call them on the podcast, Uncle Ruckus. Republic had chances to win the game, but the San Antonio goalkeeper and the goalposts had other plans, forcing Sacramento to settle for a point. With the draw, Republic shares the points with San Antonio and remains right in the middle of a dramatic Western Conference playoff race. Sacramento is getting close to the top three, but is also only four points clear of the playoff line, making every result that much more important as the regular season continues.
