    Heidi is recovering from surgery and while she is resting, we decided to replay an old episode from October 2022 when Heidi interviewed Ellen. Since October 10th is Ellen's 75th birthday (she is as shocked as you are!), what better way to celebrate her than looking back on the unexpected paths of her life. Ep 89 Unexpected Paths - Heidi Interviews Ellen This week, Heidi and Ellen switch things around when Heidi interviews Ellen. Ellen began her career as an attorney specializing in death penalty cases. After practicing law for 17 years, she reinvented her career and launched her first business, a bakery, followed by a garden and floral design company. She's also the co-founder and former director of MEarth, a 10-acre environmental education learning center that served 2,500 students each year. Ellen is a certified Designing Your Life coach and certified Wild Writing™ instructor. Typically clients hire her when they want something really bad...but..they're feeling overwhelmed about how to make it happen. Through her private coaching, Ellen helps her clients set goals, get unstuck, and get things moving. She offers Chart Your Career sessions in collaboration with Heidi and they are the co-hosts of the podcast Chart Your Career. Ellen loves having deep conversations about the process of building a meaningful life and career. There is great strength in Taurus, but it is used carefully and deliberately. Taurus wants to see that what has been planted under Aries will come to fruition. It looks to grow beauty and magnetize resources needed.     What Ever Happened to Alex? with Alexandra Franzen

    When they last spoke- Alex was confused about whether or not to move- how to feel less stressed by the balance between work and parenting, and how to carve more space in the day for herself. A little more than one year later, Ellen and Alex catch up to see what Alex decided about her future.  In this episode we discussed Alex's significant life changes over the past year. Alex shared how she transformed her daily routine, including establishing a morning ritual and adjusting her work schedule to create more balance. We  discussed Alex's decision to stay in Hawaii rather than relocate, and her focus on making incremental changes rather than drastic ones. Alex acknowledged learning from last year's overcommitment and is being more mindful about workloads in 2026.  The conversation concluded with Alex  sending an email pitch to David Blaine's publicist, which resulted in an immediate response.  About Alex:  Alex is a bestselling author, award-winning editor, and entrepreneur based in Hawaii.
