    266. Throwback - Eliminate the Grumbling

    Ladies, since I'm taking a few weeks' pause while feeling green with early pregnancy, I'm throwing back some of the fave L&L episodes. Hope this episode blesses you as much as the reminder blesses me!  "Do all things without grumbling or questioning …” (Phil 2:14). How often do we serve our children, our spouses, our friends, with a hidden (or not-so-hidden) grumbling inside? Do we complain as we go about our tasks of the day, or do we surrender the present moment to the will of God? This my friends is a place I continuously come back to in prayer, a place I frequently find myself falling, and a place I am continuously met with God's mercy and compassion.  This week I discuss the invitation to eliminate the grumbling from our hearts and the complaints from our mouths so that Jesus, whom we once conceived in our souls, can be delivered more abundantly to those we serve and love!     261. What if Our Children are the Fishes and Loaves?

    " Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up,  “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down (about five thousand men were there). Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.  When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten."
