    Catawba Mushroom Partners: Ryan Hollums

Winter is coming and the early mornings are remaining darker for longer. After the third alarm rings out its demanding hammer-tone to shake the room awake, your hand reaches out to bring a phone to your face. One blurry eye tries to focus as a cold thumb scrolls along an all too bright insta-feed. A singular brain cell searches for hope or perhaps just a gentle distraction from the general 2026 depression...and just then, out of the fog, after the endless dog memes, engineering feeds, comedy crowd work with subtitle routines and seriously disturbing flashes of motorcycles wrecks, emerges the perfect harvest rack, dead center, in a misty grow room, full of fluffy white, brown, blue, pink and yellow mushrooms bursting from blocks on proud metro shelves. IT IS in this moment that the single brain cell awakens all the others you still have and you are finally able to shake that sense that you are just another being born between shit and piss and that one day you will return to the void in which all things emerge...in this moment, hope, is on the horizon...and this, MycoWizards Of The World, is precisely how Catawba Mushroom Partners brings joy and confidence to the great unwashed! For this we have Ryan Hollums and Alex Reinhardt to thank...and for this, we have brought you an episode you surely have been waiting for with more...on...the way...    Send us Fan Mail Support the show Become A MycoWizard today and get MycoWizards Zine delivered directly to your doorstep: www.mycowizards.com!

    Feral Fungi: Jason Scott

Jason Scott's mystical spagyric tinctures have held a place in a lot of our myco-brains since first glimpse at his massive stacks of soxhlets and glassware towering from counter tops like a city scape of an alchemical alter. The reductive nature of "modern science" has boiled down complex mystery and subsequent discovery into single source solutions as the silver bullet search continues. In this day and age we endless seek out "the" source, the seeking and the seeker are removed from mythology, the equation becomes circular and AI derivatives grow bored of being so bbbbooorrrrriiiinnnggg...but among the hum drum march to multi-fingered distortions of a machines reality, there are refreshing deviation, dividing lines in the path, alchemists and dowsing rods with auto-acclumatized precision. This re-connection with the past perhaps specific but not exclusive to Paracelsian origin remains central to Feral Fungi's mission as it grows. So gobble down a bowl of Mahjoun and pick apart the importance of the mystical wizards in the mist and check out the spagyric tinctures of Feral Fungi.     Send us Fan Mail Support the show Become A MycoWizard today and get MycoWizards Zine delivered directly to your doorstep: www.mycowizards.com!
