Episode 227 - Winter Overnight on Mount Adams, Gray Knob, Mount Jefferson, Treacherous Conditions on Lowes Path

https://slasrpodcast.com/        Welcome to Episode 227 of the Sounds like a search and rescue podcast. This week our friends Jake and Peter join us to do a shortened episode focused on our recent hike and overnight at the Randolph Mountain Club's Gray Knob cabin. As part of this trip some of the crew climbed Mount Jefferson and came back to the cabin and a couple of us just did the cabin and out. We will share both perspectives. This episode should give anyone who is curious about staying at Gray Knob or Crag Camp and detailed summary for planning your future trip. Plus you should hopefully be entertained, there were a number of sketchy parts of this trip that we will break down to help people understand some of the risks and safety steps you can take when hiking in the Northern Presidentials in late winter when ice becomes the primary feature on the trails.    Join the SLASR Podcast 48 Peaks Team on June 13 to hike Mount Adams   Topics Live Show at Mountain Wanderer Welcome Jake and Peter  Jefferson in Winter and all things Gray Knob Cabin   Show Notes Apple Podcast link for 5 star reviews SLASR Merchandise SLASR LinkTree SLASR's BUYMEACOFFEE Order Hike Safe Card 48 Peaks website Nick's Instagram Check out Episode 208 about the RMC RMC History Donate to the Randolph Mountain Club Sponsors, Friends  and Partners Wild Raven Endurance Coaching burgeonoutdoor.com 48 Peaks - Alzheimer's Association Mount Washington Higher Summits Forecast Hiking Buddies  Vaucluse - Sweat less.
