E25 - When Homeopathy Makes You Question Everything

📚 From the Archive Before we begin a brand new season of What Heals, I wanted to revisit one of my favourite conversations from the early days of the podcast. This episode was recorded over five years ago, long before What Heals existed in its current form. Listening back now feels quite surreal. My work has evolved, my understanding of health, homeopathy and healing has deepened, and I wouldn't necessarily use exactly the same language or framing today. But this conversation has always stayed with me. It begins with homeopathy and somehow opens out into something much bigger. I'm joined by homeopath and former university lecturer Dr Ralf Jeutter, alongside researcher and musician Remy Vega, for a wide-ranging discussion about healing, consciousness, self-responsibility, freedom and what happens when questioning our understanding of health begins to challenge our understanding of reality itself. We explore why homeopathy asks us to think differently about disease, susceptibility and the energetic nature of life, before moving into a fascinating conversation about philosophy, Hermetic principles, history, consciousness and the importance of living in alignment with truth. Whether you agree with every idea discussed or not, I hope you'll hear this conversation in the spirit it was intended: three curious people exploring big questions with open minds. I still think there is real gold in this episode. Key takeaways  Why homeopathy challenges a purely materialistic view of health  The relationship between susceptibility, terrain and disease  Healing as more than simply treating physical symptoms  Why consciousness and self-responsibility are central to healing  How questioning health can lead to questioning much bigger assumptions  The Hermetic principles and how they relate to everyday life  Authenticity, intuition and the search for truth  Why healing is often an inner journey as much as a physical one We also talk about  Ralf's journey from academia into homeopathy  Samuel Hahnemann's philosophy and energetic medicine  Homeopathy in epidemic disease  Freedom, personal responsibility and conscience  Steiner, philosophy and consciousness  Ancient wisdom traditions and the nature of reality  How curiosity can become the beginning of healingSend us Fan Mail Join Lisa's new global homeopathy community, The Atrium, here. E24 - Is Homeopathy a Mirror? with Dr Asa Hershoff

This episode is one from the archives, and this time I’m handing the microphone over to my friend and colleague Monique Carmen, who sat down with the wonderful Dr Asa Hershoff. Asa is a homeopath, writer and one of those rare thinkers who can take homeopathy far beyond remedies and symptoms, into the deeper terrain of psychology, intuition, ancient wisdom and what it really means to treat the whole person. This is not a neat, tidy conversation. It is philosophical, slightly wild in places and deeply thought-provoking. We go into Asa’s early journey into natural medicine, the healer who changed the course of his life, his first encounter with homeopathy and why he came to understand illness as something far more meaningful than a list of symptoms. We talk about radionics, remedy machines, Tibetan Buddhism, the five elements, chakras, intuition, energetic medicine and the difference between treating the surface and meeting the person underneath. One of the most powerful parts of the conversation is Asa’s explanation of homeopathy as a kind of mirror. Not something that forces the body to heal, but something that shows the body what it is ready to see. If you’ve ever wondered what homeopathy is really doing, why some cases unfold in layers, or how a practitioner learns to listen beyond the obvious symptoms, this is a conversation worth settling into. Key takeaways Homeopathy as information, meaning and mirrorWhy illness may sometimes reveal where we are stuckThe difference between treating symptoms and treating the personEssence versus persona, and why this matters in case-takingWhy the body may only reveal what is ready to be healedIntuition in practice and the moment a remedy “appears”How ancient wisdom traditions can inform healingWhy homeopathy asks us to listen more deeplyWe also talk about Asa’s first encounter with homeopathyRadionics, remedy machines and bioenergetic testingTibetan Buddhism and the idea of protection in energy workThe five elements as a way of understanding peopleThe limitations of conventional psychologyWhy language matters when describing human experienceWhat makes a great homeopathWhy healing is rarely just about the remedyResources mentioned Monique Carmen https://www.moniquecarmen.com/ Dr Asa Hershoff https://www.drasahershoff.com/ Send us Fan Mail Join Lisa's new global homeopathy community, The Atrium, here. E23 – Autism, PANS/PANDAS, Mould and the Missing Piece with Wren Lloyd

This episode is one from the archives where I'm joined by homeopath Wren Lloyd, one of the world's leading practitioners specialising in autism, PANS, PANDAS and homeopathic detox. This conversation was recorded when What Heals was Raw Health Rebel Podcast, but it remains one of the most downloaded episodes I've ever released. We talk about one of the biggest challenges facing families today: chronic illness in children, and why Wren believes there is always room for hope. Wren shares some of the remarkable cases she has seen throughout her career, including children with autism who have made extraordinary progress through an integrative homeopathic approach. We explore mould, fungi, glyphosate, heavy metals, detoxification and maintaining causes, and discuss why removing obstacles to healing can sometimes unlock cases that previously seemed impossible to shift. This is not about promising miracles. It's about recognising the body's incredible capacity to heal when we understand what may be standing in its way. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by a chronic health condition, wondered whether there is another approach worth exploring, or wanted to better understand the role of homeopathy in complex illness, this is a conversation worth listening to. Key takeaways Why Wren believes there is always room for hopeHomeopathy and complex autism casesMould, fungi and chronic illnessMaintaining causes and why some cases become stuckGlyphosate, heavy metals and toxic burdenWhy detoxification may support long-term healingThe importance of patience in chronic casesWhy homeopathy is about supporting the body's own healing processesWe also talk about PANS and PANDASBuilding a successful homeopathic practiceWhy more homeopaths are neededHomeopathy for teeth and dental healthAcute prescribing versus chronic prescribingWhen self-prescribing may be appropriateSupporting families living with autismThe future of integrative homeopathyResources mentioned Wren's website International Homeopaths For Autism website Wren's Inspire School of Homeopathic Practice Send us Fan Mail Join Lisa's new global homeopathy community, The Atrium, here. E22 - Healing the Family Nervous System with Emma & Eleanor from The Reconnected Parenting

This episode is one from the archives where I'm joined by Emma and Eleanor, founders of The Reconnected, to explore one of the most overlooked aspects of healing: the nervous system. This conversation was recorded when What Heals was Raw Health Rebel Podcast, but in many ways it feels even more relevant now. We talk about parenting, trauma, breathwork, connected play and why so many of us spend years trying to heal our children whilst completely neglecting ourselves. Emma and Eleanor share how they came to this work, why they believe the parent's nervous system is central to the wellbeing of the whole family, and how healing ourselves can create profound shifts in those around us. We also explore why parenting can be so triggering, what our children may be reflecting back to us, and how conscious connection can transform family relationships. This is not about becoming a perfect parent. It is about understanding that healing is relational, that our bodies remember more than we consciously realise, and that there are simple, powerful ways to reconnect with ourselves and our children. If you've ever felt burnt out, overwhelmed by parenting, curious about nervous system healing, or wondered why your child seems to trigger every unresolved part of you, this is a conversation worth listening to. Key takeaways Why the parent's nervous system matters so muchHow breathwork can support emotional healing and regulationThe difference between intellectual understanding and nervous system healingWhy parenting can be one of life's greatest catalysts for growthHow our bodies hold experiences, even when we can't consciously remember themWhy healing ourselves often creates change in our childrenThe importance of co-regulation within familiesHow connected play can deepen understanding between parent and childWe also talk about Conscious parenting and family healingStrong-willed and sensitive childrenWhy modern parenting can feel so overwhelmingThe limitations of talk therapy for some peopleStored stress, trauma and the nervous systemHow children communicate through playWhy children need to feel truly seenThe connection between parenting, self-awareness and healingHow community supports nervous system healingResources mentioned The Reconnected https://www.thereconnected.com/ The Reconnected on Instagram Send us Fan Mail Join Lisa's new global homeopathy community, The Atrium, here. E21 - Family Constellations: Healing the Patterns we Inherit with Poppy Altmann & Naphia Reggiani

This episode is one from the archives where I’m joined by homeopaths and Family Constellations facilitators Poppy Altmann and Naphia Reggiani, alongside my friend and colleague Monique Carmen. This conversation was recorded when What Heals was Raw Health Rebel Podcast, shortly after I attended my first Family Constellations workshop and came away completely blown open. We go into one of the most fascinating areas of healing. Family systems and inherited trauma. The patterns we carry without even realising they may not have started with us. Poppy and Naphia explain what Family Constellations are, how the work began, what actually happens in a workshop and why simply seeing what has been hidden can sometimes create a profound shift. This is not about blame or endlessly analysing the past. It is about looking at the wider systems we belong to, and asking whether healing sometimes begins when we give something its rightful place. If you’ve ever felt stuck in a repeating pattern, sensed there was something deeper moving through your family line, or been curious about Family Constellations, this is a conversation worth listening to. Key takeaways What Family Constellations are and how they workInherited trauma and hidden family dynamicsWhy previous generations may still influence the presentThe role of the ‘knowing field’How healing can happen even as a participantBelonging, order and inclusion within family systemsThe connection between Family Constellations and homeopathyWe also talk about Bert Hellinger and the origins of the workRepresenting family members in a constellationWhy sceptics can still have powerful experiencesHealth constellations and chronic illnessRelationships, money and work patternsThe Netflix series Another SelfWhy group work can feel surprisingly safeResources mentioned Poppy Altmann https://www.poppyaltmann.com/ Naphia Reggiani https://naphiareggiani.co.uk/ Barbara Morgan – Coming Home: A First Step into the World of Family Constellations Netflix: Another Self  Send us Fan Mail Join Lisa's new global homeopathy community, The Atrium, here. E20 - Toxic Overload and Miraculous Healing with Homeopathy

This episode is one from the archives where I’m joined by Ashley Frager — homeopathic practitioner with a deep interest in environmental health, non-toxic living and the role of maintaining causes in chronic illness. This conversation was recorded when What Heals was Raw Health Rebel Podcast, but in many ways it feels even more relevant now. We go into one of the most overlooked pieces in healing. Environment. Toxic load. Fragrance. Household products. Why some symptoms keep returning. And what happens when the body is still being exposed to something it cannot tolerate. Ashley shares her extraordinary health story, from becoming severely unwell in her early twenties to discovering constitutional homeopathy and completely changing the trajectory of her life. We talk about how she moved into homeopathic practice, why she became so interested in the everyday products people were using in their homes and how maintaining causes can quietly block progress. This is not about fear or perfection. It’s about asking a deeper question: what conditions are we asking the body to heal in? If you’ve ever felt stuck in a case, wondered why symptoms keep returning, or been curious about the link between homeopathy and environmental load, this is a conversation worth listening to. Key takeaways Why maintaining causes can stop healing from holdingEnvironmental toxins, fragrance and household productsConstitutional homeopathy and Ashley’s personal healing storyWhy some symptoms may be warning signs rather than the real problemThe importance of looking beyond diagnosis and into the whole personWhy “clean” or “natural” products are not always as clean as they appearHow everyday exposures may quietly add to the body’s burdenWhy laundry detergent and air fresheners are often a good place to startWe also talk about PANS, PANDAS and the pressure to chase a diagnosisWhy homeopathy does not prescribe by diagnosis aloneBioenergetic testing and Ashley’s clinical observationsThe “fragrance loophole” and why scent can be so pervasiveGreenwashing in non-toxic productsThe difference between sensitivity and the body’s warning systemSymptom suppression and why rashes may matterThe frustration of treating while the obstacle remainsWhy healing sometimes requires changing the environment tooSend us Fan Mail Join Lisa's new global homeopathy community, The Atrium, here. E19 - Why Some Cases Don’t Resolve: Detox, Fertility & Modern Homeopathy with Natasha Burns (Stellar Online Pharmacy)

This episode I’m joined by Natasha Burns — homeopath, fertility coach, and a leading voice in what’s often called homeopathic detox or the Human Chemistry Method. This conversation was recorded nearly two years ago when What Heals was Raw Health Rebel Pocast, but it feels just as relevant now. We go into one of the more debated areas in homeopathy. Detox. Drug layers. Why some cases improve, then relapse. And what to do when progress doesn’t hold. Natasha shares how she came into homeopathy through her son’s illness, how that led her into practice, and why she chose to specialise in fertility and complex cases. We talk about antibiotics, steroids, contraceptive pills, and more recent exposures — and how these may continue to affect the body long after they’ve been taken. This is not about replacing classical homeopathy. It’s about asking what happens when cases don’t fully resolve, and what tools we might need in those situations. Since we recorded this, Stellar Online, has just relaunched as a registered pharmacy in the UK — a huge step forward for access to a wider range of remedies. If you’ve ever felt stuck in a case, questioned why progress doesn’t hold, or been curious about detox in homeopathy, this is a conversation worth listening to. Key takeaways  Why some cases improve but don’t hold, and what might be missing  Antibiotics, steroids, contraceptive pills and their longer-term impact  Detox in homeopathy: what it is, and how it’s used in practice  Fertility: why “unexplained” often isn’t unexplained  The role of grief, hormones, and environmental factors in conception  Why some practitioners integrate detox before returning to classical prescribing  The difference between acute prescribing, constitutional work, and layered cases We also talk about  COVID vaccine detox: what’s being explored clinically and why  Steroid layers and why cases can stall or relapse  Endometriosis and fertility cases  Heavy metals and environmental load  The divide within homeopathy and how different approaches can coexist  Why education around homeopathy is still so limited Resources Mentioned Stellar Online websiteStellar Online on InstagramNatasha Burns websiteNatasha Burns on Instagram Send us Fan Mail Join Lisa's new global homeopathy community, The Atrium, here.
