The Power of Slowing Down with Verena Seipp

What becomes possible when you slow down enough to actually hear yourself? In this episode of Soul to Soul, Gillian is joined by Verena Seipp, an ICF-certified Transformational Coach for Holistic Wellbeing, for a conversation about presence, purpose, healing and creating enough stillness to reconnect with yourself. After twelve years working in advertising, Verena reached a point where she knew she no longer wanted to give her energy to the life she was living. She stepped away from her career, travelled for almost a year and, for the first time, gave herself permission not to immediately know what came next. That journey eventually led her towards transformational coaching, meditation, Yoga Nidra, Reiki and a much deeper understanding of what it means to work with the whole person - body, emotion and soul. Together, Gillian and Verena explore why so many of us spend our lives living in our heads, how slowing down can help us reconnect with what we actually feel, and why stillness is becoming increasingly important in a fast and complicated world. They also talk about the pressure to do our healing and inner work “perfectly”. Verena shares one of her biggest lessons: life will interrupt our routines, we will wobble, and sometimes the most important thing is simply remembering that we can always pick the practices that support us back up again. In this episode:- The moment Verena realised she needed to change her life- Leaving a 12-year career in advertising- Giving yourself space without immediately needing to know what comes next- Travel, purpose and Verena’s journey into coaching- Moving from transformational coaching towards holistic wellbeing- Reiki, energy work and developing a deeper connection with yourself- Why slowing down helps us hear our own truth- Creating stillness in an increasingly busy and disconnected world- What Verena would say to someone curious about healing- Feeling called towards becoming a healer- Simple rituals for grounding and reconnecting- Why inner work doesn’t require perfection- Learning that you can always come back to yourself Chapters: 00:00 Meet Verena Seipp01:55 Verena’s journey back to herself03:55 The question that changed everything06:20 Leaving a 12-year career in advertising08:52 Travel, purpose and discovering coaching12:49 Moving beyond traditional coaching14:42 Reiki and working with energy18:46 Deepening the connection to yourself21:44 The future of healing23:43 Why we need to slow down26:14 What if you’re curious about healing?27:09 Feeling called towards healing work28:09 Practices that bring Verena back to herself31:47 You can always pick back up33:19 Where to find Verena About Verena Seipp:Verena Seipp is an ICF-certified Transformational Coach for Holistic Wellbeing based in Frankfurt, Germany.
