    CONSISTENCY: The Momentum Frequency

Most people don’t fail because they lack talent or a big vision. They fail because they stop showing up when progress feels slow, boring, or invisible. Ken Jocelyn calls it the consistency frequency, the momentum builder that keeps you moving when motivation runs out and life starts swinging between “I’m crushing it” and “I’m getting kicked in the teeth.”  We unpack the simple but ruthless idea behind “incremental, not monumental”: small, daily, disciplined decisions over time always equal monumental results. Ken shares stories from his own journey, including the long runway behind losing over 100 pounds and what steady effort looks like when results take years, not weeks. He also pulls leadership lessons from high performers and high-stakes rooms where one trait rises to the top: grit, resilience, and the refusal to quit.  You’ll walk away with a clear, practical way to apply consistency using the core five framework: faith, health, relationships, business, and finances. We talk about choosing one doable habit in each area, tracking daily wins, avoiding the trap of oversized goals, and building systems that can survive real life. If you’ve been working hard and wondering when your “due season” shows up, this conversation will help you stay in the game long enough to reap the harvest.  Subscribe for the next frequency, share this with someone who needs momentum, and leave a review so more leaders can find the show. What’s the one habit you’re committing to this week?

    FORGIVENESS: The Reset Frequency

That tight feeling in your chest when a certain name comes up is not random, it’s information. Today we talk about frequency three from The 14 Frequencies of Proximity: forgiveness, the reset frequency. When we refuse to forgive, we may feel justified, but we also stay stuck. When we forgive, we don’t pretend it didn’t hurt, we choose release so we can move forward with clarity, peace, and purpose. We walk through the scriptures that shape how we think about forgiveness, including Psalms 103:12 and the promise that God removes sin as far as the east is from the west. We also get practical with 1 John 1:9 and 1 John 2:1, unpacking what it means that Jesus is faithful and just, and that we have an advocate who stands for us. If you’re carrying guilt, shame, resentment, or church hurt, this is a path back to spiritual freedom and emotional healing. Then I share a personal story about flying to Michigan after my daughter was born and having a defining conversation with my dad, the kind of conversation that turns regret into relief and distance into connection. We close with a simple challenge you can do today: ask the Holy Spirit who you still need to forgive, write the name down, write what happened and how it made you feel, choose forgiveness even if your feelings lag, and pray blessing as your next step. If this helped you, subscribe to Proximity with Ken Jocelyn, share it with a friend who feels stuck, and leave a quick review so more faith-based leaders can find the reset they need.

    STILLNESS: The Strategy Frequency

Your calendar is full, your brain is sprinting, and you’ve got no shortage of ideas but you still feel stuck. We’ve learned the hard way that more hustle doesn’t automatically create more clarity. Sometimes the most strategic move a faith-based entrepreneur can make is to get quiet long enough to hear God again. Ken Joslin continues his 14 Frequencies of Proximity series with Frequency Two: stillness, the strategy frequency. We unpack why “vision comes cheap to a visionary,” how shiny object syndrome steals focus, and why every meaningful next level is tied to relationships and alignment. We also share the Create Conference “core five” framework (faith, health, relationships, business, finances) and why business growth without a stable foundation eventually costs you more than it pays. Then we get practical. We walk through Psalm 46:10, the power of a weekly “46-10 moment,” and Habakkuk 2:2 as a simple action step: listen, then write the vision down and make it plain. Ken also shares a personal quiet-time insight from Luke 1 about Mary, Gabriel, fear, favor, and a sobering question that reframes suffering and purpose. You’ll leave with clear practices to try this week: phone off, pen and paper ready, replace one doom-scroll block, and bring one forced decision into stillness before you move. If this helps you, subscribe, share it with another faith-based entrepreneur, and leave a review so more leaders can find the show.

Josh Porter | What If Business Success Is The Easy Part?

Josh Porter, PA-C, scaled from two clinic locations to five, nearly tripled revenue, and grew his team fast but the most important growth happened where nobody posts screenshots: in his marriage, his faith, and the story he tells himself when pressure hits. We talk with Josh, the founder of Optimize You, about what it really takes to lead through discomfort and why “more business tactics” is rarely the missing piece for a healthcare entrepreneur.  Josh walks us through the key moments that shaped the last year and a half: showing up to Create as a clinician in scrubs, taking a $50K leap into a mastermind community, and discovering how the right room can shift your vision and your courage. Then we get into the Atlanta breakthrough that hits every leader with imposter syndrome right in the chest: naming “I’m not enough,” tracing it back to childhood loss, and realizing his son carries the same belief. That moment leads to a daily practice of rewriting identity, not just refining strategy.  We also unpack the practical outcomes: revenue growing from about $1.7M to $3.9M, expanding from two locations to five, going from around 10 employees to 21, and building a culture rooted in service even while operating in a competitive healthcare space like hormone clinics. Along the way, Josh shares why vulnerability and safety create better leadership, how brotherhood showed up during a hard marriage season in Sundance, and why bringing your spouse and your team into the vision changes everything.  If you care about faith-based entrepreneurship, clinic growth, leadership development, and real work-life balance, press play now. After you listen, subscribe, share this with a founder who feels alone, and leave a review with the biggest belief you’re rewriting this year.

    FAITH: The Foundation Frequency

A door doesn’t open because you want it to, it opens when the right signal hits the receiver. That’s the picture I can’t stop thinking about as I introduce the 14 Frequencies of Proximity and why I’ve taught for years that proximity is a cheat code. When you look back at your biggest growth moments in faith, health, relationships, business, or finances, chances are they’re tied to a relationship and a decision to get closer to the right people and to God. We start with Frequency #1: faith, the foundation frequency. I unpack Hebrews 11:1 and ask the question most of us avoid because it forces clarity: what are you hoping for? Not a general “I’m trusting God,” but a specific, written-down, prayed-through target you can actually name. Then we walk through Mark 10 and blind Bartimaeus, where Jesus asks, “What do you want me to do for you?” Bartimaeus answers with simple precision: “I want to see.” That moment is a blueprint for specific faith and bold prayer. I also share pieces of my own story, from coming to Christ to building daily habits that keep my faith strong, plus why accountability and clear goals mattered in my health journey. If you’re a faith-based entrepreneur or Christian leader who wants stronger spiritual disciplines, better relationships, and a clearer path forward, this is your starting line. Subscribe for the next frequency, share this with a friend who needs clarity, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What are you hoping for right now?

    Proximity Is The Cheat Code

If you’ve ever wondered why you can have big goals, strong work ethic, and solid routines yet still feel stuck, we think the answer is closer than you realize. Proximity is a cheat code, and we’re kicking off a brand new series built around Ken Jocelyn’s upcoming book, 14 Frequencies of Proximity. The premise is direct: our life doesn’t move by intention, it moves by proximity. When the signals around you are wrong, progress feels heavy. When the signals are right, momentum starts to look inevitable. We unpack the “key fob” metaphor that inspired the book research, and why the problem is rarely the door. It’s the frequency or the distance from the reader. From there, we walk through the Core Five framework we use with faith-based entrepreneurs: faith, health, relationships, business, and finances. You’ll hear how frequencies like stillness, consistency, authenticity, encouragement, honor, vision, servanthood, culture, generosity, and accountability aren’t just nice ideas, they’re practical dials you can turn to become the kind of person opportunity is attracted to. Along the way, we share stories that make it real: a fifth grade teacher who changed everything with encouragement, mentors who helped unlock the next level, a friend who held Ken accountable to steward his marriage, and even the classic Contra cheat code that made the lesson unforgettable. If you want better leadership, stronger relationships, healthier habits, and smarter stewardship, this series gives you a clear path. Subscribe, share this with a friend who feels stuck, and leave a review so more people can find the show. Which “frequency” do you want to tune first?
