    What Consistency Actually Looks Like

In today's episode, I'm calling out the thing that's probably holding you back more than anything else - and it's not what you think. It's consistency. I know you're probably rolling your eyes thinking "I AM being consistent!" But here's the truth: we think we're way more consistent than we actually are. I've been doing this for 20 years and I cannot tell you how many times someone tells me they're doing everything right and not seeing results, and then we actually look at what they're doing and realize they're nowhere near as consistent as they believe. I'm breaking down what 80% consistency actually looks like (with real math, not just vibes), why one "off plan" meal doesn't ruin your whole week but your weekend warrior habits might be, and the difference between stewardship and restriction when it comes to tracking your food. We're also talking about why your heart posture matters more than the tool itself, what's actually blocking your consistency, and why the "I already messed up so I'll start over Monday" cycle is keeping you stuck. If you keep throwing in the towel every time something doesn't go perfectly, or if you're tired of the all-or-nothing approach, this episode is going to give you some serious clarity on what's actually getting in your way. Grieving Life Plans

In today's episode, I'm getting really personal with you about something I posted in my stories a couple weeks ago that so many of you messaged me about - the quiet grief of motherhood that nobody really prepares you for. I'm turning 40 this year, and as I'm standing on the edge of this new decade, I'm watching my youngest about to lose his first tooth and realizing that every one of his firsts is also a last. With my daughter, all her firsts felt like excitement and magic. But with my son, they feel like grief - this is the last time I'll watch a first tooth fall out, the last time I'll see those chubby toddler hands. And it's bringing up all these questions I've been processing quietly (and not so quietly with my husband) about whether I made the right choice being done at two kids. Did I make a permanent decision based on a temporary season of overwhelm? Did I close the door too soon on something God had for me? I'm also grieving my birth experiences - neither went the way I wanted, and I think part of me has been carrying this longing for healing and closure around that. But here's what I keep coming back to: if I kept making decisions based on grieving them getting older, we'd never stop having babies. Grief in motherhood doesn't mean something is missing - it means something mattered. So if you've ever sat in that quiet wondering of "did I make the right choice?" or "did I miss something?" - you're not alone. We're talking about how to sit with grief without rushing to fix it, why not every emotion is an instruction, and what it looks like to give yourself compassion instead of questioning every decision you made when you were exhausted and doing your best. Why You Need to Slow Down if You Want to Actually Heal

In today's episode, I'm getting real about something I see everywhere on social media right now - nervous system work. Everyone's suddenly talking about breathwork, cold plunges, tapping, and all these regulation tools. And look, those things are helpful, but here's what nobody's telling you: calming your nervous system is NOT the same as healing it. You can do all the breathwork in the world and still feel stuck in the same patterns because those tools help you go from activated to calm in the moment, but they're not increasing your capacity to handle stress in the first place. I'm breaking down the difference between regulation tools (which calm you down temporarily) and actually healing your nervous system (which increases your window of tolerance so you don't get activated as quickly). We're talking about why you hit a wall around week 6-8 of any protocol, why you can't out-supplement a chronically dysregulating lifestyle, and the uncomfortable questions you need to ask yourself about how you're actually living your life - like why you can't sit still for 10 minutes, why you feel guilt when you say no, and why your social calendar is ruling your life. True healing doesn't come from doing more tools perfectly - it comes from repetition, safety, and actually looking at the environment that created the dysregulation in the first place. This one's going to challenge you, but if you're tired of feeling stuck despite doing "all the right things," you need to hear this. Let's dive in! Ask the Practitioners: Weight Loss Edition

In today's episode, I'm bringing in my whole team of practitioners - Darby, Sammie, and Elizabeth - for our first "Ask the Practitioners" episode where we're tackling all your weight loss questions. We're covering everything from the biggest misconceptions at every age and stage, to why your metabolism isn't actually slowing down the way you think it is, and what supplements you really need versus what's just clever marketing. We're busting myths about spot reduction, talking about why alcohol and poor sleep are doing way more damage than that piece of cheesecake, and getting real about why you might gain weight when you start lifting (and why that's actually a good thing). This conversation spans from women in their twenties dealing with overbooking and comparison stress, to women in their forties and fifties who've been told the same advice for decades that isn't working anymore. If you've ever wondered why nothing seems to be working, or why you feel stuck despite doing "all the right things," this episode is going to give you some serious clarity on what your body actually needs at your specific stage of life. Being a BAD Mom

Today I'm sitting down with my friend, Theresa Todd. Theresa is a Speaker, Trauma-Informed Coach, and Podcast host of The BAD Mom Show. On this episode, we're going deep into something a lot of us carry but don't talk about - the belief that if people really knew us, they'd see we're inherently flawed. Theresa gets vulnerable about growing up feeling like there was something fundamentally wrong with her, how that wound showed up in her motherhood, and the shame cycle she stayed stuck in until she let God into her story. We're talking about why emotional abandonment goes straight to the core of your identity, how anger became her survival technique because it was the only way she got seen as a child, and why doing all the therapy in the world won't change you if you're not willing to look honestly at your story. This conversation hits on why you can't heal from something you haven't grieved, how your fiercest traits are actually your superpowers when surrendered to God, and why the repair work with your kids matters more than getting it perfect. If you've ever believed you were going to mess up your family, or you're parenting out of fear instead of freedom, this episode is going to break something open in you. Let's dive in! More about Theresa: She is a Speaker, Trauma-Informed Coach, and Podcast host of The BAD Mom Show. Theresa is passionate about helping women heal their hearts and own their mantle of leadership as moms so they can walk out this calling with bold authority and divine strategy. She also hosts a live event called, Awaken the Heart of Your Home, where women gather to do this work together, in community. Theresa currently resides in Tampa, Florida with her husband and three children.
