Going into this chapter, I knew absolutely nothing about bones or the names of them. Listening to this podcast and understanding that there are different types of bones like compact and spongy bones was very informative and very interesting to know and understand that there are so many different factors that go into play to essentially make up your body that isn’t just simple bones.

Listening to these on my drive to and from school really helps me process all the stress information more. I found ossification process fascinating and what is necessary for this to happen. Professor Harris is an amazing instructor and this podcast has helped me retain the information she teaches in lecture by replaying these episodes. In episode 26 she talks about the specialized cells that make up 2% of bone mass (osteogenic cells , osteoblasts , osteocytes , and osteoclasts )
