From $8k Months to $150k Months | Cade Robertson on Risk, Mentors and Betting On Yourself

Cade Robertson is an entrepreneur, former bodybuilder and co founder of Informed Coaching with his partner Lily. He's 26, running a business doing six figures a month, and he's been building things since he printed 500 tickets and rented a club venue at fifteen years old. We open with that story, and the version where his mum ends up manning the door at midnight so he can count the cash in the back room. From there we get into the qualities he still carries from his grandfather, the man who never talked about the work and just did it, and the conversation where Cade talks about him properly for the first time. Cade is candid about the parts that don't make the highlight reel. The identity crisis of being "Cade the bodybuilder" and not knowing who he was without it, the binge cycles that came with it, the psychologist who helped him sort it, and why he thinks far more men go through this than ever say so out loud. He also shares the business version: the gym on the Central Coast that lost a lot of money, closing everything down to focus on one thing, and signing up with a business mentor the month he made $8,000, knowing he couldn't afford the next payment. We get into what he'd tell anyone starting out, and he refuses to stretch it to five tips because there are only three. Speed above everything. No distractions. Hard work. Plus why he never gets angry at himself but always blames himself, why an A player will leave if you tolerate a C player, why he's proud his wages bill keeps growing, and the five year goal he gives at the end, which isn't about him at all.

The GLP-1 Conversation Nobody Is Having Properly | Zoe Knight

Zoe Knight is a clinical nutritionist and co founder of Muscle Nerds, with a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Nutrition. She's recently moved back into clinical practice, and what she's seeing across two very different client groups has changed how she thinks about health. This one gets into the taboo territory properly. We talk GLP-1s without the dogma: whether the medication is being used to build agency or to avoid it, why being on one is the easiest window someone will ever get to install the habits, and Zoe's view that you can use a GLP-1 as a tool but can't be optimally healthy on one long term. She also covers the part almost nobody talks about, what rapid fat loss actually does when environmental toxins come out of fat cells, and why supporting detox pathways means protein, nutrients, hydration and actually going to the toilet, not juice cleanses. Underneath the medication conversation is the bigger one. The single biggest predictor Zoe sees of whether someone changes is their view of themselves. We talk about the research showing most chronically obese clients have experienced trauma and how that reframes the whole approach, the difference between an explanation and an excuse, and why you're not responsible for your first thought but you are responsible for your second. Plus the questions Zoe asks in clinic that tell her everything (how do you feel when you miss a meal, when you overeat, when someone comments on your body), why she asks "what do I notice about myself" instead of "why do I feel this way", and what clients are actually willing to trade. We also get into why optimal and practical are different things, holding the sunk cost fallacy while finishing a degree, and why it's possible for two experts to say opposite things and both be right.

Fixed vs Growth Mindset | Why "Yet" Is the Most Powerful Word You Own

This one started with a walk and a question I asked my husband: what do you think your greatest quality is? His answer was his ability to work things out, and it sent me down a rabbit hole on fixed versus growth mindset and how much of what we call talent is really just exposure and repetition. I break down Carol Dweck's research and the 1998 praise experiment with fifth graders, where one group was praised for being smart and the other for working hard, and what happened to both groups when the puzzles got harder. It says a lot about why so many high achievers avoid anything they might be bad at, and why praising kids only for how they look sets them up to be fragile later. I also share my own fixed narrative around public speaking, where it came from at sixteen, and the presentation in 2023 where I forgot everything on stage and lived the exact fear I had been avoiding. Plus the story I recently caught myself in about having to post at 6am or there was no point, and how much freer things got when I dropped it. Then we get practical. Naming it, taming it, reframing it. Gamifying the things you resist, whether that is food Tetris or setting a minimum standard in the gym so anything above it is a bonus. Making learning the goal instead of the outcome. And the word yet, which turns a dead end sentence back into a practice. Your brain is plastic. It is trainable in exactly the same way a muscle is. If that is the only thing you take from this episode, that is enough.
