    The A24 Effect

Everything Everywhere All at Once. Bodies Bodies Bodies. Moonlight. Midsommar. How did one movie studio seemingly become the darling of critics and fans alike? And when did we start stanning... companies? Sam chats with Vulture's Alison Wilmore and Nate Jones about the rise of A24. We also play a game with comedian Amber Ruffin and hear about the culture that's haunting us: We're in a Hot Yes Chef Summer.

I love Sam!

Huge IBAM fan here— I’m enjoying this, but agree with the reviews that Vulture editors aren’t the most fascinating guests. Also very much missing Aunt Betty and the best thing that happened this week! Don’t need to recreate those, of course, but just missing the human touch a bit. I hope Sam will find his groove soon and this will occupy the very special place in my heart that IBAM did.

Welcome back Sam

I’m happy to have Sam back in my feed. His conversations with Amber Ruffin and Danyel Smith were fun and interesting. I’m hoping for longer conversations with guests and not the Vulture writers who just aren’t that interesting. The Vulture writers on the Culturegeist segment is just enough of their takes. The show is still a work in progress, but I have faith Sam and his team will get it there.

Underwhelming

I understand the low rating. I feel like I just landed on click bait with this Beyoncé episode. It took 15 minutes to get to the content that wasn’t Renaissance. We know the genius behind her Beyoncé album. It took forever to get nowhere.
