    177 | I stopped podcasting. Here’s why and what’s next.

388,800 minutes. That's how long it had been since I last took to my microphone, and in this episode I'm telling you exactly what happened. Back in December 2025, I was in a real funk. I'd just turned 50, I was eight years into my business, sales were down, AI copywriting was everywhere, and I was watching freelancers and coaches around me close up shop and go get "real jobs." I applied for a couple of copywriter positions myself. Instead of making a rash decision, I looked for the one thing I could pause without my whole business falling apart. It was this podcast. So I stopped. I didn't announce it. I just disappeared. Here's what that nine-month pause made room for: a webinar I'd wanted to launch for three years, a paid ads funnel to cold audiences, tripled enrollment in Pivot to Premium, a dance class, and 10 hikes. I'm also sharing why my original value proposition stopped being relevant, and what this show is about now that it's been renamed and rebranded: High Ticket Marketing and Sales Strategies for Gen X Women in Business. If you're happy to hear my dulcet tones in your ear holes again, a rating and review makes a big difference to my reach. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new direction for the ill communication podcast! What’s saving my life right now - December 2025

In this episode, I'm taking a pause from the business hustle to share what's actually keeping me grounded and functioning during this busy season.  Hear all about my new skincare obsession (complete with a quartz roller that resets my entire nervous system) to a spa subscription that's forcing me to actually take care of myself, plus the weirdest life-saver of all: beans. Yes, beans.  I'm getting real about the small things that are creating big shifts in how I move through my days - including a mantra that stops me from spinning out and why I finally let go of expectations that were draining my mental peace.  Consider this your permission slip to find joy in the little things.
