    In this episode, the guys preview the US Open at Shinnecock Hills and recap the Sermon on the Mount. The Sermon on the Mount is meant to drive us to Jesus Christ for salvation and then to show us what it looks like to be a disciple in God's invisible kingdom as we live everyday life in the real world. We are at the end of our study on the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, the Son of the Living God, preached this message to show His followers what it looks like to be a disciple in His invisible kingdom as we live everyday lives in the real world. And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, for he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes. His teaching was astonishing, both because of what He taught and how He taught it.     Who Gets Into Heaven? | The Greatest Sermon Ever Preached | Ep. 170

But they can be extremely comforting if we come to Christ as He prescribes. We are getting to the end of our study on the Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 7:21-27, Jesus puts this assessment before us again. And in two different paragraphs, He makes clear who it is who will enter His kingdom in the end.     Two Paths, Choose Wisely! | The Greatest Sermon Ever Preached | Ep. 169

    In this episode, after recapping the Charles Schwab Challenge and previewing the Memorial Tournament, the guys unpack Matthew 7:13-20 and Jesus' command for His disciples to enter by the narrow gate and beware of false prophets. There are only two gates, two roads, two groups, and two destinations. And spoiler alert! The right choice comes with difficulty. But it also comes with great reward. We are coming toward the end of our study in the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, the Son of the Living God, preached this message to show His followers what it looks like to be a disciple in His invisible kingdom as we live everyday lives in the real world. Today we start the final section of the Sermon on the Mount, which deals with the assessment of a disciple in the kingdom of God. Today's passage, Matthew 7:13-20, brings us to a fork in the road. When it comes to Christ and His kingdom, these verses show us there are only two possible choices: two very different roads that lead to two very different destinations.     The Golden Rule | The Greatest Sermon Ever Preached | Ep. 168

Whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Our goal is that we would allow this verse to move past the layer of familiarity deep into our minds and down into our hearts so that it begins to transform the way that we live. We are continuing in our study in the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, the Son of the Living God, preached this message to show His followers what it looks like to be a disciple in His invisible kingdom as we live everyday lives in the real world. We are finishing up the third major section in the Sermon on the Mount, which deals with the practices of a disciple in the kingdom of God. Today, we close out section three of the Sermon on the Mount by looking at one little verse: the Golden Rule. This little verse is the Law of the Kingdom in summary.
