Is Everything You Believe About Fitness Complete BS?

Fitness is full of rules that sound official but don't hold up: lifting weights makes you bulky, cardio is required to lose weight, a workout doesn't count unless you're sore for days after. None of it's true, and this episode runs through why. The conversation also gets into the stuff that actually works: a meal plan that skips recipes entirely (pick one protein, one carb, one fat, one veggie, done), a 28 day challenge built around one small habit at a time, and workouts that only take 10 minutes but still count. This is basically the audio version of the No BS Fitness Survival Guide, available now at nachofitnesscoach.com. Minus the influencer noise and the conflicting advice, sometimes the simple answer really is the right one. Connect with us on social media! Are Vibration Plates Actually Doing Anything?

Vibration plates are supposedly good for everything: better balance, more energy, magically draining your lymphatic system, you name it. This week Sara pulls the actual research, and it turns out to be a lot less witchcraft and a lot more "decent bonus tool if you're not expecting a miracle." Vibration plates can wake up stabilizing muscles, get blood moving, and modestly support balance, coordination, and bone density, especially useful for older adults working on fall prevention or anyone easing back into movement after an injury. What they won't do is burn real fat or build real muscle on their own. Ten minutes of shaking isn't a substitute for actually lifting something heavy. Caleigh and Sara put one through its paces at different speeds and stances, with some questionable life choices along the way, and land somewhere between "actually kind of fun" and "would not buy this." If you've been wondering whether it's worth the hype or just an expensive way to jiggle, this one has the real answer. Connect with us on social media! Peptides: Are We All Secretly on the Peps Now?

There's been a lot of "wait...is that Sara?" happening all summer, and it's time to actually address it. She's been on peptides — tirzepatide, specifically — and after years of preaching no magic pill, she's owning up to finding one that actually worked for her. The full stack gets laid out: the weight loss piece, a glow blend for her skin, and NAD+ for energy she calls the real MVP of the bunch. Getting there wasn't a shortcut from day one, either — months of doing everything "right" with nothing to show for it came first, followed by a hard look at what else was actually left to try. It's not a cheat code and it's not framed as one — foundation habits still matter, maybe more than ever once the peptides are in the mix. This one gets into the real cost-benefit of trying something new, the gray-market horror stories that make it worth being careful, and why "what's the cost of feeling fat" might be the only permission slip anyone needs. Episode 200...Maybe? We Don't Know.

Two hundred episodes and eight seasons later, there's champagne on the carpet and (allegedly) a hole in the ceiling to prove it. Turns out the numbering might be off by one thanks to an uncounted bonus episode a few seasons back, so nobody can say with total confidence this is actually episode 200 — but that's not stopping the celebration. Balloons, a genuinely questionable cork situation, and a toast to three and a half years of doing this for no reason other than wanting to. From there it's rapid-fire hot takes on the stuff that gets repeated most: supplements aren't required, five days a week isn't either, motivation is fake, and walking counts as exercise even when it doesn't feel like enough. A round of “fix this person” scenarios digs into the excuses that quietly sabotage progress — tracking everything except the cooking oil, restarting a new program every three weeks, meal prepping all week and then ordering DoorDash anyway. There's also an honest look back at what's actually been wrong over 200 episodes: an underestimated workout challenge, a mispronounced word that still hasn't been fully corrected, and a running debate about whether anyone actually enjoys running. Eight seasons in, the conclusion is still the same — no perfection required, just showing up. Connect with us on social media! Food Noise: Can You Ever Actually Turn It Off?

Food noise finally gets a name on this one. It's that constant, low-level chatter about food that has nothing to do with actual hunger. Caleigh's had it for years without knowing what to call it, and it turns out there's a real difference between being excited about tacos and being unable to stop thinking about food at all. Sara doesn't have it, and never really has. She can eat the same three eggs for lunch, three weeks straight, without thinking twice. That gap between the two of them turns into a bigger conversation about whether everyone has food noise and it's just a matter of volume, why GLP-1 medications quiet it for some people and do nothing for others, and the one simple habit that's actually made a difference: loading up on protein early in the day. If you've ever wondered whether you're actually hungry or just bored, or if your brain won't stop bringing up snacks at the worst possible times, this one puts a name and a framework to something a lot of people deal with and never talk about.
