    A Native Perspective on the Birthright Citizenship debate

    Yá'át'ééh my relatives, It’s a beautiful spring day here in D.C., and while the city is celebrating the peak bloom of the cherry blossoms, I’ve been spending my day listening to the oral arguments in the Supreme Court case Trump v. Barbara. The national debate over birthright citizenship is back at the forefront, but the conversation I’m hearing on the news—whether from the Left or the Right—is fundamentally missing the point.
