    Why Are We So Scared Of Gaining Weight?

    In this episode, we’re having a real conversation about weight gain, body image and why so many women have been taught to believe that smaller automatically means better. We’re unpacking the pressure of social acceptance, the way angles and progress photos can completely change how we see ourselves, genetics and body fat distribution, and the difference between looking confident and actually feeling confident. We also dive into some pretty confronting statistics from the Butterfly Foundation, including the finding that 75% of young Australians surveyed wished they were thinner or leaner, and that 2 in 5 women globally said they would give up a year or more of their life to achieve their ideal appearance or body size. Because when did being smaller become more valuable than actually living? We chat about learning to become more comfortable with gaining weight, wearing different clothes, letting go of the fear of other people’s opinions, and focusing on performance, strength and what your body can actually DO rather than simply how it looks.     Things We Would Tell Our Younger Self

    If we could sit down with our younger selves for one hour… this is what we’d say From makeup, smoothie diets and editing the shit out of our photos, to friendships, family, health, school, travelling and why you really don’t need to rush into adulthood. We’re getting REAL about the things we thought mattered so much when we were younger, and the things we’ve learnt with a few more years under our belts. Then we’re flipping it and sharing the 5 things we’d tell ourselves NOW… because apparently we’ve learnt some things. Action creates momentum, it’s cool to try, get on top of your tax and SET SOME BOUNDARIES.
