Episode 104 - Carol and Christopher Stuart

In October 1989 30 year old Carol Stuart was shot and killed in her car in Boston when she was with her husband Charles Stuart. She was seven months pregnant with their first child. Charles or Chuck Stuart was also shot in the stomach and called 911 from his car phone.   Once first responders reached Carol and Chuck they transported them to hospital. Chuck survived but sadly Carol died later that evening – her baby was delivered by C section weeks premature and baptised Christopher Stuart. Sadly he died 17 days later and both his and Carol’s deaths were treated as murder.   Chuck told police that a black man car jacked them and shot them both and so ensued a manhunt through the city of Boston with a man called Willie Bennet arrested for the murders of Carol and Christopher. Then Chuck’s brother Matthew blew the case wide open as he told police that it was Chuck who had shot and killed Carol to get her life insurance. Chuck took his own life the next day.   This is not only a story of a man who killed his family, but a story of deep deception, racism and a psychopath who nearly got away with murder.   This is the story of Carol and Christopher Stuart. ________________________________________________________________   Come and join me at CrimeCon in London on the 3rd and 4th of October! Episode 101 - Tonya Clayton, Faith Green and her children

In July 1991 Tonya Clayton Green was killed by her husband Gregory Green, she was six months pregnant at the time. Green was convicted for second-degree murder and was sentenced to serve 15 to 25 years in prison. Within 16 years he had been released and sadly, this is not where this story ends.   Green was released in 2008 and by 2010 he had married Faith Green and they went on to have two daughters together. Green was an abusive and controlling husband and in 2016 Faith filed for divorce.   In September 2016 Faith was brutally assaulted by Green who then forced her to witness the murder of her two children – his stepchildren – 19 year old Chadney and 17 year old Kara. Green then killed his own two children – 5 year old Koi and 4 year old Kaleigh. Faith survived the brutal attack.   Green was convicted and sentenced to 45 to 100 years in prison as questions remain on how he was released and allowed to become a two time family annihilator.    This is the story of Tonya Clayton and Faith Green and her children.   Information and support  Samaritans UK Contact Us | Samaritans Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) Home - AAFDA Women’s Aid Home - Women's Aid National Domestic Abuse Helpline UK 0808 2000 247 Mental health support USA Mental Health America | Homepage | Mental Health America Domestic abuse helpline USA 1.800.799.SAFE Domestic Violence Support | National Domestic Violence Hotline   References  The Monster That Killed His Family Twice: The Faith Green Story: Amazon.co.uk: Brown, Faith: 9798986875217: Books   Gregory Green, The Man Who Killed His Family — Twice   Inside the Brutal Story of Gregory Green– How He Misused His Pardon to Kill his Four Children | Criminal   Dad of teens killed talks about accused killer   Family asked 2nd chance for suspect after he killed 1st wife   Fundraiser for Faith Green by The Green-Allen Family : Help Us Bury Four Innocent Children   Man accused of killing family killed pregnant wife in 1991 | FOX 13 Tampa Bay   Gregory Green | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers   Michigan man tortures wife and kills their children after being paroled for killing his first wife and unborn child. | Lexington Herald Leader   Friends remember wives married to accused Dearborn Heights stabber   Man Murdered His Wife, Married a Pastor’s Daughter, Then Killed His Own Kids   Michigan man tortures wife and kills their children after being paroled for killing his first wife and unborn child. | Lexington Herald Leader   Credits  Hosted and created by Clare Laxton @ladylaxton  Produced by Clare Laxton  Part of W!ZARD Studios @wizradio  Music by Pixabay    If you’re enjoying the podcast and would like to support its running, please consider buying me a coffee buymeacoffee.com/clarelaxton  See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Episode 97 - Stephanie Bellinger and Lili

In February 2010, 24 year old Stephanie Bellinger and her 10 month old daughter Lili were killed by partner and father of Lili, Anthony Marsh. He claimed that voices in his head told him to kill Stephanie and Lili but others asserted that he was trying to avoid his responsibilities and also had revenge as a motive.    Stephanie and Marsh’s other child - two and half year old boy – was physically unharmed in the attack but left alone by Marsh for over 24 hours.   Despite denying murder on the grounds of diminished responsibility, Marsh was found guilty of the murder of Stephanie and Lili and was sentenced to life imprisonment.   This is the story of Stephanie Bellinger and her daughter Lili.     Join me at CrimeCon Birmingham on 25 April.
