i've listened to the entire lord of the year thus far while stuck in bed with a 101 fever, and it's been a great time!! fell asleep at one point with the podcast still playing and had a dream i was in a banjo duel for my life with galadriel, who was wearing one of those giant rhinestone cowboy hats. i did lose.
also, this is not my joke, but...speaking of gandalf alone in the world and gandalfings...have y'all seen the iconic (to me) tumblr theory that Tooks are Like That because they're actually descended from Gandalf? a long long time ago one brave hobbit climbed that old man like a tree, and he's been checking in on his descendants ever since. canon cannot disprove this.
anyway, more seriously, thank you for making this show! it's cheered me up a lot this very rough week, and has a lot of really great insight into tolkien and his works. hope you're all doing well
