    SENSE AND SENSITIVITY (ANGEL 1X6)

ᴀɴɢᴇʟ𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 1 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 6: “𝑺𝑬𝑵𝑺𝑬 & 𝑺𝑬𝑵𝑺𝑰𝑻𝑰𝑽𝑰𝑻𝒀” “When a mob boss targets Kate Lockley for revenge, a mysterious sensitivity training seminar at the police precinct begins stripping officers of their emotional control. As the department spirals into forced vulnerability, Angel must uncover the supernatural force behind it before the situation turns deadly.” A surprisingly strong Kate-centered episode, this week we resonate HARD with her daddy issues…for very valid reasons. We break down Kate’s complicated relationship with her father, the emotional walls built by policing and authority systems, and how the episode questions whether becoming hardened and detached is really necessary to “do the job.” We talk Angel being hilariously affected by this week’s magic mojo, Cordelia and Doyle trying to manage everyone’s breakdowns, and why this episode ended up being way more emotionally layered than expected. What do you guys think about this episode? How do you guys feel about the emotional angle? And emotional Angel? Lol How do you feel about Kate and whats shes dealing with and how her father treats her? Do you think theres validity in the way he’s shut down on her? Or is he just a plain and simple capital A- a*****e.  How are we feeling about Wolfram and harts presence resurfacing also and how continue to see they could be major players as villains on this series?  Share your thoughts and tell us what you may or may not like about this episode by emailing us—  revampedrewatchpod@gmail.com or send us a message on IG and be sure to follow @revamped_rewatchpodcast  Explore the world left behind on Courtney’s podcast "Echoes of Elsewhere: An Urban Exploration podcast" where she documents her own explorations and interviews fellow adventurers for a deep dive into the world of Urbex. WILD AT HEART (Buffy 4X6)

ʙᴜғғʏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ sʟᴀʏᴇʀ 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 4 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 6: “𝑾𝑰𝑳𝑫 𝑨𝑻 𝑯𝑬𝑨𝑹𝑻” After sensing a connection with mysterious singer Veruca, Oz discovers she shares his werewolf curse, forcing him to confront a darker side of himself he can no longer control. As his bond with Veruca intensifies, Oz’s relationship with Willow begins to unravel, leading to a devastating choice that changes everything. Why do all good things come to an end? This week we’re left heartbroken alongside Willow as we discuss one of Buffy’s most emotional season four episodes. We weigh in on our heavy, and definitely debatable thoughts surrounding Oz’s betrayal, the expansion of the werewolf mythology, and the surprisingly strong performance from Veruca despite all of us absolutely hating her. Courtney also shares her thoughts on saying goodbye to one of her favorite characters as Wild at Heart changes the course of Willow’s journey moving forward. Let us know how this episode made or makes you feel!? Did you like the storyline with Veruca and how it played out? Do you agree with willows comment on this being like payback or was that in the moment heated comebacks?  Do you think oz and veruca are eternal soulmates as delusional Paige moss insinuates?  Overall, what do you think of Oz’s departure from the series?  Give us your thoughts, tell us what you love about this episode by emailing us— revampedrewatchpod@gmail.com or send us a message on IG and be sure to follow @revamped_rewatchpodcast !! Rm w/a Vu (ANGEL 1x5)

ᴀɴɢᴇʟ 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 1 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 5: “𝑹𝑴 𝑾/𝑨 𝑽𝑼” “When Cordelia finally lands what seems like the perfect apartment at an unbelievably low price, her dream home quickly turns into a nightmare when violent supernatural activity reveals the place is haunted. As the team investigates the building’s dark history, Cordelia must confront both a vengeful spirit and her own lingering guilt about who she used to be.” Join us this week as we break down the horror of helicopter moms, ghosts sharing apartments and how we feel about half naked Angel! This one was alot of fun to record and we get into the development of Cordelia and what seems like a hopeful fresh start to her life in LA along with dying over the little bits of her old self that still seem to linger.  Is this a fav cordy centric/ Angel episode of yours? Do you like the arc we’re getting from Cordelia here and somewhat furthering of her character? Are you devastated at what Maude did to Dennis? Would you live in Cordelias apartment? BEER BAD ft. Robbie Fox (Buffy 4x5)

ʙᴜғғʏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ sʟᴀʏᴇʀ𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 4 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 5 : “𝑩𝑬𝑬𝑹 𝑩𝑨𝑫” FT. Robbie Fox “Still struggling with Parker’s rejection, Buffy turns to drinking at the local campus pub. Unaware that the in-house headlining beer has been magically tainted..Buffy and a group of college boys are soon reverted into cave people, leaving her friends to deal with a very primitive version of the Slayer.” Joined again for another “s****y” ranked episode we have Robbie with us to discuss why this episodes so good, but how BEER IS BAD! How it affects our characters, why we love Willow so much and we finally get to say goodbye to the Parker chapter of Buffys existence! This one features hairstyle hate, laughing at assault (don’t worry it’s just Parker) and a questionable "Robbies Conspiracy" theory as to what buffys drawing on her cave walls with?!?  How do you all feel about this one? Is it a skip it type episode for you? Do you think its silly stupid fun? What do we think of seeing buffy stripped down to this primitive yet simple version of herself? Are we glad we will finally be LEAVING the Parker arc behind? Are we obsessed with Willows moment with him and calling him out? Would you have continued to beat him senseless with instead of a bonk on the head? I would’ve. Ha. I FALL TO PIECES (ANGEL 1x4)

ᴀɴɢᴇʟ𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 1 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 4 : “𝑰 𝑭𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑻𝑶 𝑷𝑰𝑬𝑪𝑬𝑺” “Angel Investigations takes on the case of Melissa Burns, a woman being terrorized by her obsessive former surgeon, Dr. Meltzer. After discovering that Meltzer has learned how to supernaturally detach and control parts of his own body to spy on and attack his victim, Angel must stop a stalker who can literally be everywhere at once.” Courtney and Brandon fall to pieces themselves over everything occurring this episode, from the stalking to the physical and mental violations.. we discuss the unfortunate situation Melissa is in and how it is sometimes a very real and terrifying instance people experience. Regardless, this one has a lot of laughable moments that keep us from being sent completely over the edge and we like that Angel is not only out here saving people, but is finally getting PAID!  How you guys feel about this one? Is it skip worthy in your eyes? Do you like the themes and metaphors presented to us? Do you also love the arc of a woman taking back her power? FEAR, ITSELF ft. TYLER AUSTIN (BUFFY 4X4)

ʙᴜғғʏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ sʟᴀʏᴇʀ 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 4 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 4 : “𝑭𝑬𝑨𝑹, 𝑰𝑻𝑺𝑬𝑳𝑭” FT Tyler Austin *DISCLAIMER- this episode was a pain to edit. Our audio was out of sync in some places (mostly during the final slays now at the very end) and I did my best to save it to the best of my ability throughout the main recording. If there’s any overlap, it is what is at this point cause I’m over it :) #season1revampedprobs  “On Halloween, Buffy heads to a college frat party with Willow, Oz, and Xander, hopeful the night will stay normal. Instead, the house locks down and the party takes a dark turn as the decorations and frights inside become all too real, leaving everyone trapped for a night that plays on their worst fears.” This week Tyler returns for more thrills and chills as we tackle our second of three Halloween episodes in Buffy! We talk about fear and how it holds us back, often proving to be much smaller than it seems… not just in demon form. We also imagine what might happen if people turned into their costumes again based on what they’re wearing this year, and unpack what each Scooby is facing when their personal fears come to the surface. Along the way we celebrate Joyce’s return cameo, enjoy some of the episode’s sharpest comedic dialogue, and of course appreciate that little down-low tickle when Giles whips out the chainsaw.  What did you guys think of everyone’s Halloween costumes this year?Do we like seeing more of Anya? Do you think the fears each character faced were the perfect choices for them, and how they worked through them… or didn’t? And be honest… did Giles revving up with that chainsaw do something for you? IN THE DARK (ANGEL 1x3)

ᴀɴɢᴇʟ𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 1 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 3: “𝑰𝑵 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑫𝑨𝑹𝑲” “With Spike arriving in Los Angeles still fixated on reclaiming the Ring of Amara, a gem that renders the owner unkillable and Oz having just delivered it to Angel, the situation escalates fast drawing the team into confrontation with spike and an even more sadistic vampire who wants the gem for himself.” Join us this week for Courtney’s first Buffy/Angel crossover! She’s thrilled to take in an episode that brings Oz over from Sunnydale and teams him up with Angel Investigations. You’ll hear your hosts completely WIGGED out by Marcus, laughing at Spike’s inability to “villain” correctly, and weighing in on Angel’s decision to destroy the Gem of Amarra. And let’s just say… Spike’s not the only one noticing how good Cordelia looks this episode. How do you guys feel about Angels decision to give up the ring? Was this the wisest choice? Are you side keep the ring or destroy it?  Do you love Oz coming over to join up with the Angel Investigations team? THE HARSH LIGHT OF DAY ft. Chris Birch aka BuffyDood (Buffy 4x3)

A SPECIAL HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHOUTOUT TO CO-HOST, COURTNEY AUTUMN today !! ʙᴜғғʏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ sʟᴀʏᴇʀ 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 4 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 3: “𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑺𝑯 𝑳𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻 𝑶𝑭 𝑫𝑨𝒀” ft Chris Birch (BuffyDood) “Buffy explores a new relationship but is burned when he turns out to be a f**k boy, leaving her emotionally raw and questioning herself. Just when she’s at her lowest, Spike returns to Sunnydale with his new lover turned vampire Harmony Kendall, in search of an ancient gem buried beneath sunnydale that grants vampires immortality.” Joined again by our friend Chris..recording on the 29th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer we bring things to light and expose everything under the sun. From Harmony’s iconic return as a vampire to Spike crashing back into Sunnydale on his hellbent mission for invulnerability and yet another attempt at taking out the Slayer, this episode is doing the absolute most. We get real about nasty, gross, disgusting beyond F*****Y Parker Abrams and his unfair treatment of our girl Buffy, unpacking what this storyline is really saying and why it still hits a nerve. Meanwhile, Chris and Brandon keep a watchful eye on Harmony’s fashion ins, as the gays should and Courtney shares her thoughts on the full-on clusterfuck unfolding around Buffy’s emotional spiral, plus Anya being back in the mix and wasting zero time interlocking with Xander! How do you all feel about this one? Are you frustrated with how Buffy handles the aftermath with Parker, or do you feel like she’s reacting to the emotional fallout from everything that happened with Angel? Does Buffy get wrapped up too quickly, or is this just part of learning the uncomfortable side of adulthood? What do you think about Anya’s return and the beginning of whatever this dynamic with Xander is becoming? Do you enjoy seeing that development start here? And what about Xander in this situation. Is he handling it reasonably, or does he completely fumble the emotional reality Anya is bringing to the table? And finally… Harmony is officially a vampire. Were you shocked by that reveal the first time you watched it? Do you love that development for her character but hate the way she lets Spike treat her? Is Harmony chasing affection that was never really there to begin with? Across all three of these dynamics, what do you think each of them could have done differently? Could any of these situations have turned out better, or were they always going to end this way?
