    HUSH ft. Kailah Peters (Buffy 4x10)

    ʙᴜғғʏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ sʟᴀʏᴇʀ𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 4 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 10: “𝑯𝑼𝑺𝑯” A mysterious silence falls over Sunnydale, leaving the entire town unable to speak. As Buffy and the Scoobies investigate a series of gruesome murders connected to a group of eerie fairy tale creatures known as The Gentlemen, Buffy and Riley are forced to confront hidden parts of their lives neither has been ready to reveal. With the Gentlemen collecting hearts and the body count rising, the gang races to uncover how to stop creatures that can only be defeated by the very thing they've stolen. This week, we're joined by new friend Kailah Peters (and her cat, Binx!) to discuss one of the most beloved episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Hear Courtney's reactions during her first-ever watch of "Hush" as we break down what makes this episode such a standout for both the fandom and ourselves, react to Buffy and Riley discovering each other's secrets, and laugh our way through all things Spike. Kailah may have a slight crush on the Gentlemen, while the three of us spend plenty of time roasting their minions... lackeys... henchmen... adhd toddlers???     ᴀɴɢᴇʟ𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 1 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 9: “𝑯𝑬𝑹𝑶” After Doyle receives a vision involving a group of hunted demon refugees, Angel Investigations gets pulled into a dangerous conflict with a ruthless enemy. As the team races to help the refugees escape, Doyle is forced to confront parts of himself and his past that he's spent years avoiding. Two sad episodes in a row!? 😭 Join us this week as we discuss Doyle quite literally taking one for the team and why that sacrifice was such an important part of his arc. Hear Courtney’s thoughts on his death and departure from the series, along with our reflections on how having Doyle as part of the team helped shape both Cordelia and Angel along the way. We also talk about Doyle finally stepping into the hero he always had the potential to be, why his final act of redemption hits so hard, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind for Angel Investigations. As her grief spirals out of control, the gang is left dealing with increasingly strange and unpredictable consequences. Living for this episode’s coverage! From laughing at Giles’ clever remarks while blind to Buffy & Spike’s duel dynamic as they constantly snark at each other, we had a lot of fun with this one. Courtney shares her love for the chaos and the pure shock factor of our newly engaged Slayer and vampire couple. Hear our thoughts on Willow’s magic once again going wrong and the impact it has on the gang, D’Hoffryn’s return, and how Anya’s place in the show is really starting to click.     I WILL REMEMBER YOU (ANGEL 1X8)

But as the consequences of that choice become clear, Angel is forced to make an impossible decision that will change everything. We've finally arrived at the most heartbreaking BANGEL episode in the Buffyverse. Join our discussion and hear Courtney's reactions to Angel becoming human for a day, spending that day in bliss with Buffy, and finally getting a taste of the life they've both always wanted. Of course, it all goes to shit and our thoughts shift to the reasons why it can never be, how this adds yet another layer to Angel's endless suffering, and even theorize about what exactly the Oracles do in their downtime when people aren't showing up asking life-altering questions. As Buffy and the gang struggle to stop the attacks, tensions rise over how to handle the situation, and an unexpected visit from Angel adds another layer to an already tense Thanksgiving. Join us for Thanksgiving in June with this mostly hilarious take on the holiday as we discuss the trivial aspects of cultural misrepresentation and why this episode hasn't aged particularly well over the years. We live for Spike's new dynamic on the series and weigh in on Angel's return to Sunnydale, along with his decision to keep the visit from Buffy. As a bizarre bachelor party takes a deadly turn, Doyle is forced to confront his past and decide where he truly stands. This week Doyle takes the spotlight.. hear our thoughts on receiving some much needed Doyle lore, how Cordelia is growing as a person since moving to L.A. and the silliness that is this demon families brain eating tradish! Not to mention Doyle having a wife, her soon to be husband 100% thinking about leaving her for sexy ANGEL along with our realizations of how Doyle and Angel mirror each other with their troubled lives. Meanwhile, Riley’s connection to a hidden military operation is revealed, hinting at a larger threat operating beneath Sunnydale. A hoot and a half this one is.. join us as we theorize when tf this military operation began beneath Sunny D & if it’s just a drug cover up for dear old Joyce Summers. Also hear Courtneys new thoughts on Riley and the reveal of him being one of the commando soldiers we’ve been seeing on campus since the start of the season..along with him falling for Buffy, Spike being chipped and unable to harm humans and finally cheer with us over Parkers face getting hella what it deserved! Do you guys enjoy this one? How did you react to the reveal of Riley and Maggie Walsh being part of the initiative, did you see it coming or were you as surprised as us on OG watch? As the department spirals into forced vulnerability, Angel must uncover the supernatural force behind it before the situation turns deadly.” A surprisingly strong Kate-centered episode, this week we resonate HARD with her daddy issues…for very valid reasons. We break down Kate’s complicated relationship with her father, the emotional walls built by policing and authority systems, and how the episode questions whether becoming hardened and detached is really necessary to “do the job.” We talk Angel being hilariously affected by this week’s magic mojo, Cordelia and Doyle trying to manage everyone’s breakdowns, and why this episode ended up being way more emotionally layered than expected. What do you guys think about this episode? How do you guys feel about the emotional angle? And emotional Angel? Lol How do you feel about Kate and whats shes dealing with and how her father treats her? Do you think theres validity in the way he’s shut down on her?
