I Pushed Back My Launch... Here’s Why (And Zone of Genius vs Zone Of Excellence)

I pushed back my launch. And weirdly... I feel REALLY freaking good about it. Today was one of my coaching days, and I went into it feeling overwhelmed trying to do two very different things at the same time: Wrap up the done-for-you side of my business REALLY well. AND prepare for a launch. Turns out, running an agency and a group program at the same time requires a LOT of energetic switching. 😂 And as I’ve been cleaning up not just my kitchen sink offer, but my entire kitchen sink BUSINESS, I’ve gotten really clear on something: Done-for-you implementation is my Zone of Excellence. It is NOT my Zone of Genius. I’m really freaking good at it. People pay me well for it. I’ve spent years mastering it. And it drains me. So in this episode, I’m talking about: The difference between your Zone of Excellence and your Zone of GeniusWhy being GOOD at something doesn’t necessarily mean you should build your business around itWhy I’m intentionally retiring a lucrative income streamWhat I believe my actual Zone of Genius is after six years of doing this workWhy I’m NOT recommending immediately killing an offer just because you’ve outgrown delivering itThe expensive mistake I made years ago when I shut down my profitable group program to launch a lower-ticket template shopWhy sometimes your Zone of Excellence needs to fund your transition into your Zone of GeniusThe two options I was considering for wrapping up our remaining done-for-you clientsWhy I ultimately decided to push the Systems Over Stress launch into NovemberThe question my coach asked that made the decision feel really obviousWhy giving myself more time means fewer sleepless nights, fewer skipped workouts, and a launch I can actually be fully present for October gets to be about CLOSING OUT. I want to wrap up every remaining done-for-you client beautifully and put a pretty freaking bow on this era of the business. Then I want to walk into November with a completely clean slate and say: LET’S LAUNCH THE THING. I could have technically done both. But just because you CAN carry everything at once doesn’t mean that’s how you want to run your business. And for maybe the first time, I had the financial breathing room, the coaching, and the self-awareness to simply buy myself more time. — 👋CONNECT WITH ASHLEY Threads: https://www.threads.net/@systemsoverstress Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/systemsoverstress/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@systemsoverstress Website: https://systemsoverstress.co/ ✨ FREEBIE: CLIENT RESULTS ROADMAP GENERATOR Build your free Client Results Roadmap to define the result you want to be known for, what you should be tracking, and the proof you want to collect. 👉 Build Your Free Client Results Roadmap ☎️ WORK WITH ME: Ready to actually set up the systems to track your client results? I Delegated So Much I Forgot I Was Good at This

I think sometimes when you delegate enough of your business, you can forget that you’re actually REALLY GOOD at doing the things. 😂 Today I’m coming off four straight hours of client delivery, including a three-hour VIP Day where we clarified a client’s result, built her results tracking, and set up her Client Hub basically from scratch. We finished EARLY. And I walked away thinking: Oh yeah. I know what the hell I’m doing. Welcome back to my Results-Focused Offer Refresh, where I’m taking you behind the scenes as I simplify my offers, get closer to my clients, increase profitability, and basically clean up not just my kitchen sink offer... but my kitchen sink BUSINESS. In this episode, I’m talking about: What I learned from stepping back into a three-hour VIP Day after phasing myself out of most custom client workWhy focusing on CLIENT RESULTS completely changed how I approached the systems we builtHow getting back into delivery is confirming that I’m taking Systems Over Stress in the right directionWhy I’m feeling weirdly nostalgic about wrapping up my done-for-you eraThe way I’m thinking about frustrating parts of my business as “the last time I have to do it this way”Why I want my business AND my boundaries to feel unrecognizable by the end of the yearHow my Client Hub is keeping me grounded while I make a million changes at onceWhat happened when I ran payroll, reviewed my P&L, and handled bookkeeping tasks myself after letting go of my OBMThe little opportunities to increase profitability that I’m noticing now that I’m deeper inside the business againWhy doing more myself right now does NOT mean I plan to do everything myself forever This is definitely a WORKING season of my business. But instead of looking at everything I’m doing and thinking, “Oh my God, why am I doing this myself?” I keep thinking: This is probably the last time I’m going to do it this way. October is my month to wrap up the loose ends. Finish the old client work. Clean up the systems. Get closer to delivery. Understand the numbers. Find the unnecessary expenses. Close out this version of the business REALLY freaking well. Because I want November to feel like a clean slate. Not an entirely different business. Just a new version of it that feels significantly different to run. A Very Real Launch Day: Crying, Deadlines & Getting It Done

Can you run your business while you’re sad? Today’s Results-Focused Offer Refresh update is a little different because, honestly, I spent a LOT of today crying. I got some unexpected news in my personal life. I left my Pilates class early because I couldn’t focus. My workday absolutely did NOT go according to plan. And I also have a launch coming up. I have a sales page that needs to get done. Coaches who need time to review it. Existing clients to support. Done-for-you projects I’m wrapping up. Travel coming up. And a whole business that doesn’t stop existing because I’m having a hard day. In past seasons of my life, something upsetting happening could easily turn into, “Well, I guess I can’t work today.” Today, I’m learning how to hold both. I can be sad AND keep running my business. In this episode, I’m talking about: What happened when my personal life completely derailed the workday I had plannedWhy I let myself fully crash out and cry instead of pretending I was fineThe boundaries I put in place so I could stop waiting for another text or update and get back into my workWhy I’m still getting my sales page to my coaches TODAY, even though it isn’t completely finishedHow “done is better than perfect” is showing up during this launchWhy I’m thinking about discipline as a gift to Future Ashley instead of “f**k your feelings and follow the plan”The things I know I HAVE to prioritize during high-capacity seasons so tomorrow doesn’t become even harderWhy going to the gym, eating in a way that makes me feel good, and taking care of myself become MORE important when business is busyHow I’m balancing launching, client delivery, travel, relationships, and taking care of myselfWhy I’m trying to take some of the financial pressure OFF this launch instead of gripping onto “this HAS to work” I’m not saying there aren’t days when you need to call it. There absolutely are. But I’m getting much better at recognizing the difference between “I genuinely need to stop today” and “I’m having feelings, and I can have those feelings while still doing the things I said I was going to do.” Today wasn’t my most productive day. But I cried. I turned off my phone. I worked on my sales page. I showed up for my client. I recorded this Live. And now I’m going to the gym. 😂 Sometimes that’s what running a business looks like.

I Scaled Myself Out of My Offer. Now I’m Getting Back In. Here's Why.

I spent years building Systems Over Stress so that I DIDN’T have to personally deliver every part of it. I hired co-coaches. They answered support tickets. They coached our clients. I could see everything happening behind the scenes, but I didn’t have to be the person doing it. And honestly? I still think that’s a completely valid way to scale an offer. But as I started this Results-Focused Offer Refresh, I realized something: I needed to get back inside my own program. Not because my co-coaches weren’t doing a great job. But because as the founder, there is inevitably some distance between you and your clients when you’re no longer the person delivering the offer every day. And if I’m going to completely refresh this offer around getting my clients better results, I want to be BOOTS ON THE GROUND again. In this episode, I’m talking about: Why I’m personally answering support tickets, reviewing Client Results Roadmaps, and getting deeply involved in delivery againWhat I think founders need to consider when they scale delivery through co-coachesWhy I want to personally deliver the new curriculum before eventually handing pieces of it off againWhat I’m learning from reviewing completely different offers going through the same client results processHow talking to existing clients made me realize some of the BEST parts of my program were barely mentioned on my sales pageThe new flow I’m creating inside Systems Over Stress now that I’m crystal clear on the resultWhy I rebuilt my sales page in a simpler no-code tool so I can actually update it as the offer evolvesHow I’m making the Client Hub more modular so existing Airtable users don’t have to start from scratch I’m also getting into a question that came up after I shared another coach’s onboarding experience: Is it okay to gate content until your clients complete something? I’m sharing why I actually think clients often WANT a more guided experience, how I’m using gating inside my own curriculum, and where I draw the line between guiding someone through the process and making them jump through unnecessary hoops. And finally, I’m sharing some coaching I got after I started obsessing over affiliate clicks and launch numbers, and the reminder I needed that constantly analyzing every tiny number is NOT how I’ve created my best results. The biggest theme of this entire refresh continues to be: Get closer to the result. Get closer to your clients. Then let what you learn change the offer.

Your Past Clients Didn’t All Get the Same Result. Now What? (PLUS a look into our affiliate portal + new masterclass!)

What happens when you recommit to getting your clients ONE clear result... and immediately start thinking about all the past clients who came through your offer BEFORE you had that clarity? Welcome to the Results-Focused Offer Refresh, the newly renamed version of my Cleaning Up My Kitchen Sink Offer series. I’m still taking you behind the scenes of revamping my six-year-old group program, Systems Over Stress, but I’m looking at EVERYTHING through one lens: How do I get my clients even better results? And today, we’re talking about the shame spiral that can happen when you finally start looking closely at your client results. I currently have 48 clients coming up for re-sign, and I’ve been going through their data, getting on calls with them, and asking what result they actually got from the program. And what I’m realizing is that just because they didn’t get the ONE result I’m focused on now doesn’t mean they didn’t get a result. They joined a choose-your-own-adventure offer. And they chose their own adventure. In this episode, I’m talking about: How I’m thinking about past clients as I narrow my offer around one clear resultWhy not having perfect results data doesn’t mean your clients didn’t get resultsWhat I’m doing when I realize I don’t actually know what happened with a clientHow having one centralized Client Hub is helping me find quiet clients and proactively reach outWhat I’m learning from my end-of-program and re-sign callsHow those conversations led me to create a new advisory add-on for clients who want more access and supportWhy I streamlined my team and am relying more heavily on my own systems againA behind-the-scenes look at the masterclass and affiliate program I’m building for my next launchHow I’m balancing taking care of the clients already inside my offer while preparing to sell it to the next group The biggest reminder I’m giving myself is this: You can’t change how you tracked results a year ago. But you CAN decide how you’re going to track and improve them going forward. Look at the data you have. Talk to your clients. Figure out what result they got. Find the people who need more support. Then use what you learn to make the next version of your offer even better.

I’m Reviewing All 100 of My Clients. Here’s What I’m Looking For.

What if you start tracking your client results... and you don't like what you find? Welcome to Part 7 of Cleaning Up My Kitchen Sink Offer, where I’m taking you behind the scenes as I simplify and revamp my six-year-old group program, Systems Over Stress, in real time. Today, I’m doing something I honestly wish I had been doing MUCH more diligently all along: I’m going through the roughly 100 clients inside Systems Over Stress one by one and asking: Did they get the result? If not, WHY? Because having a list of your clients isn’t enough. I don’t just want to know who’s active, who paid, or whose contract is ending. I want to know their RESULT STATUS. In this episode, I’m talking about: Why I’m going through every current client and looking at where they standWhat I’m doing when a client’s result status is completely unknownWhy your quiet clients are the ones who can easily slip through the cracksHow I’m deciding who should renew, who might NOT be a fit for the new version of the offer, and who could become a case studyThe shame that can come up when you finally start looking closely at your client resultsWhy avoiding the data doesn’t change what’s happening inside your offerThe VERY simple client results dashboard I think every coach and service provider should haveThe four numbers I want to know about my clients: total clients, clients who achieved the result, percentage who achieved it, and average time to resultHow I’m mining YEARS of client data and 550+ curriculum completion forms for results and testimonialsWhy looking this closely at my current clients makes me feel more in integrity selling the offer to the NEXT group of clients I’m also sharing some coaching I got after yesterday’s messaging flop and the deeper reason I realized I was obsessing over a few words in my webinar title instead of just COMMITTING to something and marketing it. But my biggest takeaway today? Rip off the Band-Aid and look at your client results. Maybe you discover 80% of your clients are getting the result. AMAZING. Now you have receipts. Maybe it’s 20%. Okay. Now you know. And instead of guessing, you can start asking the much more useful question: How do we get that number up? My Offer Is Now Cleaner ... But The New Messaging FLOPPED

I cleaned up the offer. I launched the new curriculum. I feel REALLY freaking good about what we’re selling. And then I sent out my new webinar registration page... And barely anybody clicked. 🫠 Welcome to Part 6 of Cleaning Up My Kitchen Sink Offer, where I’m taking you behind the scenes as I simplify and revamp my six-year-old group program, Systems Over Stress, in real time. Today’s lesson: getting clear on your offer and figuring out how to TALK about that offer are two completely different things. I know the offer is good. I know what result I want my clients to get. I’m looking at the curriculum, testimonials, and results and feeling more confident in the actual product than I have in a long time. But now I have to figure out how to translate all of that gold to someone who has never heard of me before. In this episode, I’m talking about: What happened when I sent my brand-new webinar messaging to my list and got way fewer clicks than I expectedThe feedback I got from BOTH of my coaches about why the new messaging wasn’t landingWhy I’m going back to messaging that has worked for me for years instead of trying to make a total 180How I’m adding a client-results lens to messaging my audience already understandsThe difference between second-guessing your OFFER and second-guessing how you’re communicating itWhy I needed to clean up the actual product before I could confidently go back into launch modeHow I’m learning to tolerate the uncertainty of doing a bunch of work before knowing whether it’s going to pay offThe very simple strategy behind these daily Instagram Lives and why they’ve gotten me unstuck with content This is the messy part of changing an offer. You can get crystal clear internally and STILL have to experiment until you figure out the words that make someone else go, “OH. I need that.” So I’m not blowing up the offer again. I’m changing the words. Testing them. Getting feedback. Keeping what already works. And continuing to show up until the messaging clicks. The New Offer Is LIVE. Here’s What Happens Next.

I THINK I DID IT. 🧹 Welcome to Part 5 of Cleaning Up My Kitchen Sink Offer, where I’ve been taking you behind the scenes as I simplify and revamp my six-year-old group program, Systems Over Stress, in real time. And today is a BIG milestone: the brand-new curriculum is officially LIVE for my existing clients. After spending the weekend recording, building, tinkering, questioning whether everyone was going to hate it, and forcing myself to ship Version 1 anyway... my clients are actually inside of it. And I’m inviting them to tell me what’s broken, what’s confusing, and what could be better. Which, as someone who has historically been TERRIFIED of negative feedback, is a pretty big deal. In this episode, I’m talking about: What it felt like to finally roll out the new curriculum to my existing clientsWhy I’m actively ASKING clients to find bugs, glitches, and confusing partsHow my relationship with client feedback has changed as I’ve grown my businessWhy getting deeply involved in client delivery again has made me MORE excited to sellThe connection between having proof your offer works and being able to market it with your full chestWhy I think being good at BOTH sales and delivery is essential if you want to growWhat I’m working on next as I shift from curriculum mode into launch modeMy thoughts on what happens when growing offers, events, and businesses inevitably make mistakes One of my biggest realizations through this whole process is that when you become shaky about the results your offer gets, you become shaky about selling it. It’s a lot easier to show up and say, “THIS PROGRAM WORKS,” when you have mountains of receipts showing you that it actually does. So the curriculum is live. The kitchen sink has officially gotten a MAJOR cleanup. And now? It’s time to sell the thing.
