    Sometimes, even missionaries need a little help finding roommates! On the Family Rosary Across America, Lydia from Bloomington, Minnesota, called Fr. Rocky with a heartfelt prayer intention for her son, Paul, a FOCUS missionary serving in Indianapolis. Paul needs two good young Catholic men to share his house because he can no longer afford the rent on his own. Living hundreds of miles away, Lydia wished she could do more to help her son. But when helping him seemed out of reach, Fr. Rocky offered something powerful: prayer. “Let's pray to Saint Joseph for this,” Fr. Rocky suggested, turning to the patron saint of workers and families. It's a beautiful reminder that no intention is too ordinary to bring before God.     “The Greatest Gift I've Ever Been Given” (Father Simon Says)

    What if the greatest gift your mother ever gave you was a family you had never met? On Father Simon Says, a caller named Larry shared a touching story about his adoption and the one request his birth mother made that would shape his entire life. Although Larry has never met his biological mother, he knows she specifically requested that he be placed with a family who would raise him in the Catholic Church. “That was the greatest gift I've ever been given,” Larry told Father Simon. Larry described his adoptive parents as loving and devoted, explaining that he always knew he was adopted. Now, he hopes to someday meet his birth mother or someone from her family, if only to express his gratitude. “All I would be able to say is thank you,” he shared. His testimony led to a powerful reflection on the dignity of adoption and the gift of life. Father Simon recalled how his late brother John adopted his first son before welcoming two more children biologically. When someone referred to the younger siblings as his "real children," John firmly responded, “I have 3 real children.” For Father Simon, adoption reflects something even greater: our relationship with God. “All of us are adopted children, adopted by God,” he reminded listeners. Larry's story is a beautiful reminder that parenthood is rooted in love, not biology, and that passing on the Catholic Faith is a priceless gift.     Eucharistic Adoration Will Change Your Life (The Inner Life)

    What happens when someone who knows nothing about the Eucharist encounters Jesus in Adoration? For Anisha, a woman raised Hindu, it became the beginning of a remarkable journey of healing and conversion. On The Inner Life, Anisha shared with Deacon Patrick Conley and guest Father John Eckert how an invitation to a Catholic retreat changed her life. Surrounded by Catholics, she quietly asked God to reveal Himself, unsure even how to pray to Him. During Eucharistic Adoration, she noticed a golden object being carried through the room. She didn't know it was called a monstrance or that it held Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. At the time, Anisha was suffering from debilitating migraines. When she touched the edge of the monstrance, she experienced what she later understood as a Eucharistic healing. She testified that she hasn't had a migraine since. That encounter eventually led her into the Catholic Church nine years ago. Today, she encourages others to discover the beauty of Holy Communion and Adoration. Father Eckert celebrated her testimony, reminding listeners that Christ welcomes everyone and continually draws us deeper into His love. He compared Adoration to standing in the sunshine. Even when we cannot see its effects, the sun is working. Likewise, spending time before Jesus in the Eucharist allows His love to transform our hearts.     Blind Woman Regains Her Sight Through St. Charbel’s Intercession (The Drew Mariani Show)

    What happens when doctors say a condition is irreversible, but God has other plans? On The Drew Mariani Show, Drew welcomes Dr. Anne Borik, a Catholic physician and founder of the St. Charbel Global Network, to explore the extraordinary miracles attributed to St. Charbel, a humble Lebanese monk who devoted his life to prayer, silence, and the Holy Eucharist. In 2016, Daphne Gutierrez, a 31-year-old Arizona woman, had been blind for nearly five years due to intracranial hypertension, a condition that severely damaged her optic nerves. When St. Charbel’s relics visited St. Joseph’s Maronite Catholic Church in Phoenix, Daphne went to confession, received the Eucharist, and was blessed with holy oil. The following day, she began seeing shadows. Within 48 hours, her vision had reportedly returned to 20/20. Dr. Borik, who led the medical investigation, examined the records and found no apparent medical explanation. “It was a beautiful testimony to God’s power,” she told Drew. But what about those who pray for healing and never receive a miracle? Dr. Borik encourages the faithful to imitate St. Charbel’s humility, spend time in Eucharistic Adoration, and trust in God’s will. His example reminds us that holiness isn't measured by extraordinary healings, but by faithfulness to Christ, no matter what. Whether facing illness, anxiety, or seemingly impossible circumstances, we're invited to surrender our burdens to God, trusting that His grace is always at work.     When your spouse receives a devastating diagnosis, your child struggles with addiction, or life suddenly falls apart, where do you turn? On Marriage Unhindered, Doug Hinderer welcomes psychiatrist Dr. Aaron Kheriaty to explore how Christ's Passion can bring strength and healing in life's darkest moments. Doug reflects on Our Blessed Mother's courageous yes to God's will, knowing that her journey would involve profound suffering. From Simeon's prophecy that a sword would pierce her heart to watching Jesus enter His public ministry, Mary experienced the pain of surrendering her Son to a world that would eventually crucify Him. Yet, she remained faithful through it all. Dr. Kheriaty reminds listeners that the Church has always encouraged meditation on Christ's Passion, not just during Lent or Good Friday, but throughout the year. While contemplating suffering might seem strange when we're already hurting, he encourages listeners to experience its healing power for themselves. “Go to the church, go sit in front of the tabernacle, go to adoration,” he suggests. Imagine holding Jesus' wounded hand, contemplating the nails that pierced His flesh, and remembering that He endured every wound out of love for you personally.     How to Trust God When Life Doesn't Go as Planned (The Mark Swartzberg Show)

    How do you keep trusting God when someone you love is dying? Catholic author and mother Kendra Tierney Norton joined The Mark Swartzberg Show to share with Mark how faith carried her family through her first husband's 16-year battle with cancer. When Jim was diagnosed with melanoma in 2006, Kendra adopted a simple philosophy: “Wait to worry.” Rather than becoming consumed by an uncertain future, she focused on the blessings and challenges of each day. Even as Jim's condition worsened, she found strength through prayer, especially the intercessions of countless people supporting their family. When Jim approached death in July 2022, their home became a place of prayer. Friends and family gathered to pray the Rosary, while priests administered the sacraments. Jim received his final confession and last rites. The following day, he received the Eucharist as Viaticum. His final spoken word was “Yes,” accepting Jesus in Holy Communion. For Kendra, these moments offered profound consolation and hope for Jim's eternal salvation. After his death, she began embracing God's providence more deeply, recognizing that even painful circumstances could become opportunities for holiness. She eventually discerned a new vocation to marriage and remarried in 2024. Her story reminds us that surrendering to God's will doesn't mean understanding every hardship. It means trusting that He remains loving and present, even when life unfolds differently than we imagined.     Was the Blessed Virgin Mary Ever Tempted to Sin? (The Patrick Madrid Show)

    We know the Blessed Virgin Mary was conceived without original sin, but does that mean she never experienced temptation? On The Patrick Madrid Show, Michelle from West Chester, Pennsylvania, asks a fascinating question: Did Mary have to make a daily choice not to sin? Patrick explains that Mary, unlike the rest of us, was preserved from original sin from the moment of her conception. She was also free from concupiscence, the disordered inclination toward sin that humanity inherited after the Fall. But Adam and Eve were also created without this inclination, and they still fell into temptation. So what made Mary different? Patrick points to a theological understanding that Mary was uniquely strengthened by God's grace. While the Church definitively teaches that Mary remained free from personal sin throughout her life, exactly how she experienced temptation remains a matter of theological speculation. Patrick suggests that Mary could have faced external temptations, much like Jesus did in the desert, without experiencing the internal struggle with sinful desires that we often face. "There was no internal quandary for Mary where she paused and thought about it," Patrick explains. Unlike Eve, who freely chose disobedience, Mary remained perfectly faithful to God's will through His extraordinary grace. This beautiful reflection reminds us that Mary's sinlessness was a unique gift from God, not something she achieved independently. D’Ambrosio suggests her story reflects something troubling about modern culture: our obsession with controlling how others perceive us. Timmerie connects this to social media, where appearances, personal branding, and the desire to remain relevant can overshadow authenticity. But D’Ambrosio believes Christianity offers freedom from this exhausting performance. Following Christ means accepting our weaknesses and crosses rather than hiding behind carefully constructed identities. As he puts it, “You don't have to play these games.” Their conversation also raises questions about moral relativism and Hollywood's fascination with morally ambiguous characters. When every character is presented as neither good nor bad, do we lose sight of what genuine goodness looks like? D’Ambrosio points to St. Maximilian Kolbe as a reminder that real goodness exists, even in an imperfect world. The saints show us that holiness isn't about manufacturing a flawless image. It's about pursuing truth, embracing virtue, and allowing God's grace to transform us. In a culture obsessed with appearances, perhaps the greatest freedom is learning to live without a mask.
