Crime Fix with Angenette Levy

As a host, she should do more research. Angenette sounds uneducated. She often is so opinionated that it’s nearly impossible to listen to what she has to say. Thank goodness the guest she has fight to relay decent messages to the audience. Her attacks on Skylar, who was a minor, leaving out that the police realized they made a mistake in her case and they asked the court to drop her charges. She keeps bringing that case up but forgets to mention that Skylar’s false confession is a direct example of what’s wrong with our law enforcement. Skylar was luckily enough to be a young white girl, and the police were willing to admit the mistake. Angenette needs to give the whole story or come off it already.

The podcast references the abuse of the women in that community as “trading sexual favors” for leniency in the handling of their monitoring systems. The accurate description is that these poor women were subjected to sex trafficking in the very court that sentenced them. Instead of getting the help they need to recover from addiction and regain custody of their children, these men further victimized them. Words matter Miss Levy. Do better.

i like this podcast, but she needs to give more context before playing large clips (10m+) of police audio. often times i don’t even know what the hell is going on.

I’m not sure who is editing this but you cannot simply post audio from a YouTube video and call it a podcast. Several minutes of footsteps running, heavy breathing and dead air does NOT make a podcast.
