In "Hardcore History" journalist and broadcaster Dan Carlin takes his "Martian", unorthodox way of thinking and applies it to the past. Was Alexander the Great as bad a person as Adolf Hitler? What would Apaches with modern weapons be like? Will our modern civilization ever fall like civilizations from past eras? This isn't academic history (and Carlin isn't a historian) but the podcast's unique blend of high drama, masterful narration and Twilight Zone-style twists has entertained millions of listeners.

Certainly the best podcast of all time. Potentially the best historical media of all time.

Every couple months I’m reminded of how
extraordinary this show is, when a new multi-hour long masterpiece is dropped. This is some of the best content period, let alone podcast content.

A Great History Podcast

Awesome podcast that used to be my all time favorite. Fall of the Roman Empire was the last of his best(unavailable now), unless you purchase it. It's still educational but not as good as when he started.

Best podcast ever created

More of an audiobook than a pod. But holy crap how thoughtful and well-researched it is. This show is art. That’s not an exaggeration at all.
