How Women Age and The Science Behind It

Ladies! You need to know about this groundbreaking science and research & what it is teaching us about women and the aging process. Did you know that it could be possible to postpone menopause? Are you aware of how important it is to take care of your ovarian health and your ovarian age? Your ovaries aren’t just running your cycle — they’re running the show. In this episode, Laura Chastain, NP and Certified Menopause Specialist- educates us on groundbreaking research revealing that the ovary is the first organ in a woman’s body to age, and that estrogen loss touches every single system you’ve got: your heart, brain, bones, muscles, bladder, liver, lungs, skin, and immune system. She unpacks the numbers nobody’s telling you — like why half of a woman’s lifetime bone loss happens in just five years, why fatty liver disease doubles after menopause, and why removing ovaries before menopause nearly doubles dementia risk — and explains why ovarian reserve may be the most overlooked longevity biomarker in medicine. If you’ve been told menopause is just hot flashes and a rite of passage, this episode is your permission slip to rebel against that story and start treating the menopause transition as the critical whole-body intervention window it actually is. Thank you so much to Laura Chastain of Optimize U & Rebellion Health! It's an honor and a privilege to have you on the show, & to get to learn from you about this groundbreaking, revolutionary science for female reproductive medicine. Sexism, Abuse & Women in Ministry with Dr. Andrew J. Bauman

What does it take to create a truly safe church for women? In this thought-provoking conversation, I sit down with Dr. Andrew J. Bauman to discuss his groundbreaking book" Safe Church:How to Guard Against Sexism and Abuse in Christian Communities". Drawing from extensive research and the stories of countless women in ministry, Dr. Bauman sheds light on the often-overlooked realities of gender discrimination, sexual harassment, abuse, and systemic barriers that many women continue to face within church leadership and ministry settings. Together, we explore the data behind these experiences, the personal and spiritual impact they have on women, and the ways church culture can unintentionally perpetuate harm. We also discuss God's design for women, how Scripture has been interpreted regarding female leadership, and what it looks like to cultivate churches that reflect the dignity, value, and calling of women. Whether you're a church leader, ministry worker, or someone seeking to better understand the experiences of women in the Church, this conversation offers both challenge and hope for a healthier future. Topics include: • Misogyny and sexism in church culture • Research on women's experiences in ministry • Sexual harassment and abuse within faith communities • Barriers to leadership and promotion • Biblical perspectives on women and leadership • Creating safer, healthier churches for everyone Welcome to The Healthy Sex Podcast, with Karisa Kaye, Certified Sex Therapist- where we talk about love, relationships, and sex. The Sexually Healthy Man

What happens when sexuality is shaped more by culture than by truth? In this episode, I’m honored to be joined by Dr.Andrew J. Bauman to unpack how a pornified culture is influencing the way men see women—and themselves. We talk about the objectification of women, the breakdown of authentic intimacy, and why so many men feel stuck in unhealthy patterns. We also explore a better path forward—one rooted in the reality that both men and women are made in the image of God—and what it looks like for men to pursue true sexual health and wholeness. Dr. Bauman shares insight into how men can begin pursuing sexual health, integrity, and deeper, more authentic connection. This is a powerful and necessary conversation for anyone wanting to understand the roots of unhealthy patterns—and what real healing can look like. https://man-land.circle.so/checkout/man-land-community-membership?coupon_code=FOUNDING Founder & Director of the Christian Counseling Center: For Sexual Health & Trauma (CCC), Dr. Andrew J. Unchurching the Stigma: Mental Health & Spiritual Health

May is Mental Health Awareness Month; so for this month, I wanted to share about the importance of educating The Church and Christians about the reality of mental health. It sounds sacrilegious, but sometimes praying or reading your Bible isn’t going to fix everything... if that was the case, the pews would be full of completely sanctified and healed individuals. Can God miraculously deliver us? Absolutely! Does He always do that? Absolutely not. Please join me for a layered and complex dialogue regarding the principles and variables we in The Church need to consider concerning our mental health, the mental health of fellow believers; and ways to find healing, deliverance, and freedom outside of Sunday. In this episode, I attempt to delineate between mental health and mental illness; biological factors; relational factors; factors of trauma; and spiritual factors – all of which can positively or negatively impact or mental health. If you are a pastor, a minister, anybody in ministry- I hope and pray this is helpful for you as you consider the needs of those you are serving day in and day out…along with your own needs and the needs of your family members!
