Baddie Besties

Alyssa Silva and Samira Francois

Welcome to the Baddie Besties Podcast, the unfiltered space where best friends Samira and Alyssa get real about womanhood and carving your own path in your 20s. As first-generation women, they were both raised on the “safe” blueprint of success: doctor, lawyer, nurse, engineer, etc. But when that path didn’t feel like theirs, they decided to talk about the messy in-between of feeling lost, ambitious, and uncertain, and Baddie Besties was born. What started as candid conversations about navigating life soon grew into their Hey Barbie series and reset events, The Pause Festival & Pause Pop-Ups.

BelléJolie Force On Married At First Sight, Divorcing Mecca, The Reunion & Choosing Herself

What happens when you marry a complete stranger, spend an entire experiment trying to make the marriage work, choose to stay married on Decision Day, and then realize almost immediately after the cameras stop that you have been ignoring your own feelings? This week on Baddie Besties, Samira and Alyssa sit down with BelléJolie Force from Married at First Sight Season 20 for an honest conversation about her marriage to Mecca Amen, what really happened when filming ended, the attraction conversations that became one of the biggest storylines of the season, and why BelléJolie ultimately decided to choose herself. BelléJolie opens up about walking down the aisle to a stranger, navigating a marriage where attraction and compatibility were constantly questioned, and whether some of Mecca’s behavior came from his own insecurities. We get into the moments fans could not stop talking about, from the cheek kiss at the wedding and the influence of Mecca’s father, to his comments about his “dream girl,” the retreat dinner, BelléJolie confronting Caitlin at the reunion, and the now iconic “Devin, come come” moment. BelléJolie also responds directly to viewers who wondered whether she was really there for Nikki while Nikki navigated her marriage to Sean, what their friendship actually looked like when cameras were not around, and what it was like for BelléJolie and Nikki to navigate the experiment as two Black women on the cast. And beyond the marriage, we talk confidence, beauty, boundaries, people pleasing, knowing when fighting for a relationship becomes abandoning yourself, and what BelléJolie wants other women to learn from her experience. Because sometimes the biggest lesson from marriage is realizing you never have to make yourself smaller to make somebody else feel bigger. Chelsea “Charlie” Hare from Netflix’s Let’s Marry Harry Gets Real

What happens when you go on a dating show without even knowing who the man you’re supposed to be dating is? In this episode of Baddie Besties: Hey Barbie, Samira and Alyssa sit down with Chelsea “Charlie” Hare, one of the women from Netflix’s Let’s Marry Harry, for an honest conversation about reality TV, dating Harry Jowsey, getting the “serious” edit, and what viewers didn’t get to see. Charlie opens up about being approached for the show through Instagram, intentionally choosing not to research Harry before filming, and why she wanted the opportunity to form her own opinion rather than judge him based on his reality TV reputation. We get into her immediate connection with Harry, what really happened behind the scenes, the conversation around whether Harry dates Black women, why she believes viewers only saw one side of her personality, and her reaction to ultimately being eliminated after Harry felt she was spending too much time working. Hey Barbie: Stephani Sosa On Dancing With The Stars, The Next Pro, Ezra, Tristen, Latina Pressure & What Comes Next

This week on Baddie Besties, we’re sitting down with Stephani Sosa for one of our most honest conversations yet. From growing up Latina in Utah and leaving the Mormon church at 16, to chasing her dream of becoming a Dancing with the Stars pro, Stephani opens up about everything that happened both on and off the ballroom floor. We’re talking about what it was really like being known as Ezra Sosa’s sister, the pressure of being called a “nepo sister,” chasing for the same dream as her younger brother, the Tristen partner drama, the Rylee Arnold controversy, and what viewers didn’t see behind the scenes. Stephani also gets vulnerable about body image, family sacrifice, rejection, feeling like she had to prove herself, and the emotional reality of having millions of people judge your journey. And after her elimination from Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, does she still want the dream? Is becoming a DWTS pro still the goal? And could this rejection actually be the redirection she needed? This is Stephani like you’ve never heard her before. 🤍 Follow our socials and tag us!! Baddie Besties Alyssa Silva Samira Francois & of course, make sure to check out and follow our amazing guest Stephani Sosa !!

Kicked Off The Ultimatum: Alex Finally Tells Her Side

Alex Johnsen’s journey on Season 4 of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On ended before she ever had the opportunity to complete the experiment. After six years together, Alex issued an ultimatum to her boyfriend Jebin, hoping to find out whether their relationship would finally lead to marriage or whether it was time to move on. But as Alex began opening herself up to the experience and forming a connection with someone new, Jebin secretly passed her a handwritten note that changed everything. The letter was intercepted by production, Alex was asked to read it aloud in front of the cast, and Jebin was ultimately removed from the experiment. Because his departure left an uneven number of participants, Alex was also asked to leave, despite not being responsible for what happened. Now, Alex is joining Baddie Besties to share her side of the story. She opens up about where she and Jebin stand today, why she wanted to marry him, and whether six years of history made it difficult to recognize that they may have grown into different people. She also addresses Jebin’s controversial comments, the criticism surrounding his maturity, and the theory that he may have been cast to become the season’s comedic character. Alex also speaks about one of the most painful and complicated parts of their relationship: Jebin’s family not fully accepting her because she is not Indian. She reflects on whether Jebin defended her, what marriage would have looked like without his family’s support. From the secret note and their unexpected removal to the internet’s biggest questions, Alex is finally getting the space to tell the story viewers did not fully get to see. This is not only about reality television drama. It is about growing up in a long-term relationship, separating love from compatibility, and realizing that sometimes being chosen matters less than choosing yourself. Tune in today! Will Parmida & Corbin actually make it outside the villa? Plus, we discuss the controversy surrounding Sincere's family's livestream, what it means for Melanie, and whether family behavior can predict a relationship's future.
